People's Heating & Cooling — Local services in Shelbyville

At the beginning of winter I called People's Heating & Cooling for an estimate on a new furnace after my furnace began going out intermittently. Brent, the owner, came out the next day and gave me an estimate on several different units/options. The pricing was very affordable and I felt like Brent gave me all the options without trying to up-sell me on anything--he just gave me the options to choose from. He answered all my questions regarding the furnace and we chatted for another 15 minutes or so. My initial assessment of Brent was that he is a genuinely nice, honest man who values the service he is giving his customers. I was sold before he left my house, I just needed to determine what unit I was going to have them install.

After accessing the options, I called and scheduled the install. People's Heating & Cooling's installation crew came out a couple days later for the install. The installation tech was very nice and answered all my questions before starting. The furnace was installed and working a few hours later. They cleaned up before they left and the furnace has been running great since.

We had a pretty cold couple of months since the installation, so the furnace has been tested plenty. I am happy to report that there have been no issues!

Kept having issues with my AC unit. Couldn't get it fixed. I heard about this company through a friend that had used them for heating issues in the winter. They were able to have someone out right away.

The tech Ed was very polite and knowledgeable. I had recently hurt my knee and was having an issue moving. He went out of the way to change the cat's litter box when he saw me struggling with it. He got the job done quickly and it was reasonably priced. We haven't had an issue since!

Had an issue with our A/C unit, called People's Heating and Cooling late one day. They sent Jeff out early the next day. He had us up and running in no time. He was very knowledgeable and had the experience to troubleshoot and figure out the issue very quickly. What I thought was going to be a costly repair, turned out to be just a clogged drain line that had the system bogged down and not working properly. The staff at People's were very professional from the time they answered the phone to the time Jeff was packed up and pulling out of the driveway....
