Weissinger Hills Golf Course — Local services in Shelbyville

UPDATE: 9/9/21 A year later after writing the below review and I am happy to say this is one of the best courses to play. The service and staff has always been 5 star but now the course is as well. I now enjoying playing there almost every week! Great Job Weissinger!

First, the good. They are making a great effort to improve everything. Cart paths were recently paved, new golf carts, GPS included in the carts and the greens were in great shape etc... Staff is always friendly and nice. And the pace of play has never been bad at this course. Now the bad. Since the improvements were made they have raised the price on green fees, which would not be bad except the course is in the worst shape I have seen it in years. Many of the fairways are bare, dead with clumps of dead weeds. The tee boxes were in terrible shape and many times you had to tee above or below your feet. It just looks like course upkeep has taken a back seat to...

My husband was there 9/2 at 10:30 am golfing with a group of friends. He was in a motorcycle accident which resulted in an injury causing paralysis of his arm. He was mocked and laughed at by the man working the front desk of the pro shop. He asked him if he was ‘seriously going to play like that’ and laughed in his face. When the group of guys joined, the same man warned them that they ‘had a one arm guy in their group’

I only wish I had this man’s name!! These people should be ashamed...

Me and a buddy went here for our first ever round of golf. The atmosphere was awesome and welcoming. Good experience with every person we spoke to from the first person who showed us where the club house was down to the saying goodbye on our way out. The course was under maintenance but the greens and the fairways still looked and felt beautiful. Would definitely recommend for all golfers new and vets.
