White Castle — Restaurant in Shelbyville

Not quite the traditional White Castle, this location is part of a gasoline and Diesel fuel station.

The inside dining area is relatively small and the clientele a little different from most free standing White Castle restaurants.

The food is the same here and at all other White Castles. Always the same, It's something that you like or you don't.

Unlike many White Castles, this one is not open 24 hours.

It does offer a drive-through service lane and now with the ongoing pandemic, call-ahead orders may be placed in advance by telephone for pickup at the drive-through window.

Advance orders for pickup may also be placed via computer and mobile phone.

Restroom facilities are available.

Free parking, handicapped customer parking and accessable entrance provided.

I was greeted with 3 happy smiling facing upon entering the restaurant on 1/16/24 @ 10:45 pm. The Manager lady was running the grill yet took time out to carry a short but meaningful conversation with me. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious. White Castle's fish sandwich is of a higher quality than most other competitors and should have more emphasis on marketing it as such. It's a real filet, not minced pieces and parts that is served at McDonalds at their inflated prices. Your team at this location acknowledges their guests upon arrival and very rarely does that happen anywhere these days. Great job team Shelbyville White Castle, you are amazing at what you do and the world needs more people like you in it. ...

I always get the fish sliders.....#4 and add one. Told the guy working the register that I was dining in. I told him a LARGE #4 with fries, and add another slider. Then he asks if it was here or to go. I guess he was hard of hearing. My name was called for my order and a different guy asks if my order was for here or to go. REALLY??? I check my food out and saw two fish sliders, a plain white castle slider, and a small fry. So, they can't hear/comprehend, and or prefer to give you what THEY want. So, three fish sliders and large fry was too complicated to complete. The dining room tables, all of them, were despicable. Only reason I gave two stars was the food tastes...
