Army Surplus Warehouse — Local services in Shelley

I had shopped here several years prior and they always had excellent help.. Not today, in fact after asking where to find a specific item on their website with the item displayed on my phone a very irritated woman walked me back to an area and dug her hand through items that werent even similar to what I had displayed, and said “These, right?” after telling her no and showing her the item on my phone and showing her the SKU she said “ya thats our website we dont sell that out here” I looked at her and said “really? you advertise things here at the website but then dont have them?” She replied “well I can go back in the shipping and check” she then used a radio to call back to the rear and they had said certainly we’ll pull them out, I asked for 3 boxes if that was ok and she went back. Enroute I asked about harness hardware as well that they had advertised and she pointed at an area literally with assorted junk and said “Ya down that isle there someplace that’s all we re gonna have” at about that time I thought ok, I guess ill try looking again, after 15-20 minutes I decided they obviously dont care one way or the other therefore ill leave.. They must think they have enough non veteran wanna be people here shopping and the floor employees can care less, cool. Sorry if the management doesn’t feel that way but the staff? Im sorry nobody sees them and its not worth my time to cause an issue, ill look for hardware at better locations that certainly have either better organization or folks that can at least feel like they can help customers swim through the racks of junk they have tossed...

I've grown up around a lot of small business and have seen it all, but this one is probably the rudest business I've ever been to. I wanted to exchange an Army ACU, so I called them. I tried reaching out to them over the phone for multiple days and the woman who runs the place hung up on me multiple times . Once I was finally able to talk to her, she said she hung up because the connection was poor. "Well, you could have tried communicating that to me before just hanging up on me the whole time!" I said. I've left messages asking if they'd like to do business and they've never responded. To be fair, I've driven by and stopped in there store, and it appears that they do have a lot. So if you're looking for something military, you'll likely find it. However, I agree with previous reviews that they a bit over priced. For example, the used ACU's they sell aren't going cost nearly the amount of a new (hence why I wanted to exchange the one I have for one that fit me better). I had never been here before & my dad asked me to stop by there & pick up a few things. I asked the 1st lady that i saw, to show me where I needed to look for a few items & she was quite rude, pointing in one direction! So I proceeded to go in the direction she pointed. I was overwhelmed, if you have ever been in this store you will understand, lots of stuff in a big warehouse. I couldn't find what I was looking for, so I called my dad & said that I got no help from an employee & he said to "just leave"!! So as i was talking to my dad, an employee "D J" overheard me talking to my dad, & i told him what happened & that I was ready to leave the store! He was awesome, showed me everywhere I needed to find the things that I was looking for! And helped me get what I needed. I also told him that I work in "customer service" & if I would of treated a customer like that, I know that my employer would not put up with that. Altho, I only spent $150.00 I won't be going back.
