I took my granddaughter here for her 17th birthday dinner. First, our wait person seemed out of it. We ordered the roasted squash. A half hour after ordering the manager came over to let us know that the selection was no longer available. I don't know why our waiter didn't tell us and that it took a half half hour for them to let us know. Our reservation was for 5:30pm so I don't think it was a matter of running out of that meal. Our meals were delivered by someone else and we were there for two hours and never saw our waiter again until he brought the bill. We were never asked if everything was ok or if we wanted dessert. When we got the bill there was a $22.00 "service charge" on top of our regular bill. When I asked our waiter what the charge was for, he said he receives 14% and the rest goes to the House. I asked if it was on the menu and he said maybe in fine print and kind of shrugged his shoulders and laughed. When we left I looked on the menu and it was there in the bottom right hand corner (in fine print). I did speak to the manager about it but since it was my granddaughter's birthday I didin't want to make a big deal about it then. The ambience is beautiful. That's why I gave it two stars. But the food was luke warm and just mediocre. Due to the fact you are basically ordering an additional meal to your bill with the service charge of $22.00, I will never go back. The service was insulting and the food ordinary. You can do better going...
Read moreI am the father of the bride that Kimberly trust put up the review about the Alderbrook Country Club, please do not believe a word that was written it is completely fabricated and untrue. This person is not even on our guest list and is obviously quite the coward to use a fictitious name to degrade a great business. The Alderbrook Country Club and staff helped put together a fabulous wedding for my daughter And her new husband. The food was on point and never heard one bad comment, the staff was professional and courteous even while dealing with a couple guests that are just rude themselves. At the end of the evening there was an altercation that enden up making a mess and leaving a few spots of blood which was not from over pouring it was a few individuals drinking personal alcohol out of their vehicles it had nothing to do with the staff or the establishment. I would like to personally thank each member of the staff that helped make this day possible and apologize to the staff, residents and club members for the disturbance at the end of...
Read moreAlterbrook is a challenging course, but pretty fair. It's home to one the only double dog leg par 5s in Washington. It's impossible to get home in two! To be honest it is my least favorite hole on the course lol. But 18 by far makes up for it. It is one of the most beautiful finishing holes in Washington. Challenging, deceiving. But the view of the Olympic Mountains behind the green as you decide to go for it in two, or layup on a clear day is breath taking! The range is very small, only about 210 yards. All up hill, so it's hard to judge distance before you head to the 1st Tee. Like Capital City, it has alot of houses around the course. So big slicers be aware! Overall great course, good food, and good customer service! And it's a nice drive!
Fyi, if you're playing in the morning, order the Breakfast sandwich! Its...
