Adventure Pass required!! Parking is impacted (be there by 7am on a weekend to get a space), as parking along the road is illegal and blocks the fire department (and if a falls rock shatters your window, a tow truck can’t get up to you).
The dirt lot at the Adams Pack Station is a private lot, $20-30 per car depending on day or overnight use, call to reserve a space ahead of time! A massive relief on busy weekends to have a spot waiting.
The fire road is strenuous on the knees on the way down, possibly life threatening on the way up dependent on health and heat conditions— hike with caution, Cathy plenty of water, and pace yourself! Trash cans in picnic area, and one at the bottom of the fire road— bring a trash bag! Cold drinks and souvenirs available at the Adams Pack Station, show them some support!
CURRENLY CLOSED UNTIL SPRING 2022 DUE TO BOBCAT FIRE DAMAGE

Because she was the one with the weapon. So, so very scary. I haven't hiked since then, and when I do, then I plan on hiking with some form of weapon,...

Parking is difficult as there are not many spots so you need to arrive before 8am on the weekdays and arrive before 7am on the weekends to get a decent spot. Hike can be done in a few hours. Best time to hike these trails is a few days after it rains and the waterfalls and...
