If I could put zero stars I would. My mom got there 4yrs ago until February 2nd, 2025 my mom aspirated she laid in a room chasing for air for hours before someone finally checked on her by the time she got to the hospital she lost so much oxygen her heart stopped my mom stayed in the hospital until March 24, 2025 when she went to hospice there she passed away March 31st, 2025. I talked to my mom the day before all this happened she felt like she had covid so she didn't want me to come up there being she didn't have covid she had the flu but this nursing home knowing she was sick with something did not check on her and I'm sure they knew, my mom was really verbal she would tell u if she was shit or anything so I'm sure they knew. I can't blame them for her aspirating but I can blame them but not checking on her now let me get to some of the problems that occured while she was there. There was a time another patient touched her she called the cops well being she called the cops the social worker she had them said something to her for calling I had to tell momma she was right to call and don't worry about the woman who jumped down her throat, on another time there was a patient grown so threatened my mom Infront of a staff member that also told them and of course she she got something said to her about that also I can go on but the last thing that really bothers me was after my mom passed away. I called to tell her new social worker my mom passed away that I will come get her items as soon as I could now my mom had been gone only a day this lady gonna tell me I need to get the stuff to make room for other residence how was it on the way I don't know because it was packed in a big room with other people's stuff I told this woman I haven't been able to come get it because I was busy going to Chapel Hill every day spending time with my mom she then tried to be smart and says well I thought she got sent to Pittsboro which is closer now I had already said 3 times before this that my mom just passed away I don't feel like being around people yet I had to get mad and tell her I'll come get my mom's stuff even though I don't want to be around any a day after my mom passed away then she gonna say she's sorry she didn't know mom passed away and didn't hear me after saying this 3 times before. I could keep going but I'm going to stop here but I do want to say that most of the staff there isn't there for the people there only there for a check they don't care about the patiences. A few of the ladies that be in the front when u walk in the door is the sweetest ever Mrs Francis I will say is the nicest caring person that works there. The others there just stare at u when u come in don't even ask if u need any help, they dont clean the patients like they should. Most of the staff is druggies. I could go on and on but I already...

My father (William L Whitehead) passed away at Siler City Center on July 10th after living in the Dementia/Memory ward for almost 3 years. After setting up service arrangements at a local Funeral Home, I decided to visit Siler City Center to talk with staff. about any items of my father there at the center.

I inquired about his Personal Money Account which is used to purchase anything he may need like socks, shoes etc... I was told by the lady at the front desk that there was $688.22 and that that check would have to be sent to the Chatham County Clerk of Court.

I was then invited into Keisha D Allred office (Business Office Manager) where she informed me there was approximately $1900 left from the last Social Security payment made to Siler City Center. Keisha helped me fill out the paperwork so the (as she explained) the funds would be mailed to me directly. Since then I've made multiple attempts to contact Keisha (either she's in a meeting, out to lunch, or left early).

Keisha hasn't bother to call me to explain, and I haven't seen any paperwork showing what exactly happened to the surplus funds that I was told were available. These fund would help with my Dad's cremation services. This non communication is no way to treat a family member of someone who just passed.

Update 9/5/2024: Finally received a call from John Alvarez (The Administrator for Siler City Center) who agreed that Keisha should have communicated better and then tried to explain something about insurance taking up all the funds left from my Dad's last social security payment. I asked John Alvarez to send me the paperwork showing where the $1900 went. He said he would send it to me in the mail soon. As of today 10/5/2024, I haven't received any paperwork showing where the money went. Siler City Center isn't transparent about where yours/or your loved ones funds go to after they pass, and they will ignore and lie to you until...

Wish there was a zero star rating!!!! Employees standing at rear of facility smoking every visit I made. Boxes stacked at entrance door morning & evening. Once entering facility your breath is taken away from the smell of URINE. More boxes stacked in entrance hall. Building inside hasn't seen any repairs in years. Roaches abound, one laid in corner of patients room for entire stay. That's everything you need to know about housekeeping. Food was absolutely disgusting. Family had to bring in food to insure patient was getting any nourishment. Patient was admitted after hip surgery for physical therapy. She arrived on a Friday evening only to find out there is no physical therapy on the weekends.Week day's there is only one hour of physical therapy a day. Patient had to take it upon herself to get to restroom because of the wait it took to get any assistance. In the end patient did her own physical therapy by walking up & down the hall herself. Asking for pain meds as needed took hour or more to receive if given at all when asked. She was once given morning meds with the RN just leaving them with her & not insuring they were even taken. CNA's have chairs in hall where you find them scrolling on social media sites while patients call lights went unanswered.I inquired about this & was told they were working on charts.I do KNOW the difference between typing info onto a chart and the obvious scrolling on a social media site. Discharge staff was a joke. They will do their best to keep you there until insurance has expired. We actually have a recording of an administrator saying "they want to milk all they can from the insurance companies". I'm so thankful God gave our patient the strength to survive this...
