Cowboy Cafe & Catering — Restaurant in Siler City

We were hoping to find some good country cooking after a trip to the Asheboro Zoo. Cowboy Cafe did not disappoint! Our server, Audrey, was amazing. She was so patient with us and helped us choose some delicious items. I normally have to put hot sauce on pork chops, but the ones at Cowboy Cafe didn't need anything extra. The Cowboy cheeseburger was the best I've had in a long time, just a giant mound of perfectly seasoned and cooked beef, custom built with the toppings you like. The ribeye steak sandwich was grilled to perfection, nothing fancy, just tasty. I don't know what they do to the boiled potatoes, but they just melt in your mouth with buttery deliciousness. Nothing fancy here and a bit noisy during the peak of lunch but the food, service and staff are wonderful! We had a small (7) family gathering here (all women). Half the group had never eaten there so we had questions about what they served, how it was cooked, etc. Several of us have food allergies and 1 of us was very particular about the type of lettuce they used.! 😀 Our waitress was wonderful, had a great sense of humor and didn't get annoyed with us! The owner visited our table to check on us as well. This is a laid back, comfortable atmosphere and evidenced by the local crowd, this cafe is very popular and serves great food! We tried the lunch special, a ribeye steak with 2 sides and a roll for $12.99. The steak was cooked just as I ordered it. The sides you can pick from were onion rings, pasta salad, orange fluff, chicken salad and ff. I tried the chicken salad which was delicious. We also had homemade broccoli cheddar soup which was thick and creamy. The fried bologna sandwich with lettuce and tomato was delightful.The staff are very nice, friendly and quick.
