Spectacular! And Amazing to visit in early May to see the falls at full strength. We have visited in summer and enjoyed the falls but they are truly fascinating to visit late April and early May with all the melting snow. Also, no crowds and few people make for a more peaceful experience. The falls are so forceful this time of year that they hurt your ears standing next to them.

What a beautiful park and waterfalls! This was my first visit to North Shore, Minnesota and it started off wonderfully! The paths to get to the overlooks are paved! If you want to go and explore the area around the waterfalls, as many people do, you can just know it’s a bit rugged! Please check out my Youtube Channel for more info: Lukegee Travels

This was a beautiful place to walk along. We could walk a little into the river to cool off a bit, but it was fun just seeing the falls. The rocks were beautiful and so was the way the water sparkled in the sunlight. I would recommend this place.

Always a beautiful and fascinating place to visit no matter the time of year or how much water is around. Low water levels (such as the summer of 2021) allow access to areas normally underwater. Just make sure to watch your step on the bumpy river bed. Oh, and clean up after yourselves. (Someone left their plastic coffee container in the middle of the dry riverbed when I was there. I picked it up because I'm not an...
