Farida was so nice and helpful to me, my bridal party, and MIL! She had an unexpected last minute event to attend, and instead of telling my group that we would have to come another day, she opened her shop early for us and stayed until we were satisfied! We weren't initially expecting to get much done, because her shop seemed somewhat small and my bridesmaids aren't very well versed with Indian/Pakistani clothing. However, there is a very wide selection despite close quarters, and Farida was very kind in aiding my girls while picking out their dresses; in fact, I was able to find all of my bridesmaids dresses at Azim! It was also very cool that she has natural and evening lighting available in her shop so that you can see what your outfit will look like in either depending on the time of your event! Originally, I had come in to see if she would be able to alter a previous lehenga I had so that it would fit me, but because of the way it was done, she couldn't without ruining the aesthetic/crystal stonework. The bridal set I tried on afterwards on a whim I really liked, except for the fact that the fabric underneath was beige and I had wanted white. Farida explained to me that I could design one from scratch if I really wanted to, because (under normal circumstances) she generally works with various designers to create custom pieces if that's what is desired. So I am getting a custom set with a different color underneath. I was even able to find a complete jewelry set to go with my lehenga at her shop! I am so excited to see how it turns out, and now I totally understand why people come to her from all over...

I went to Azim as I needed a traditional outfit for an event on short notice in the Mechanicsburg area. I called the owner and she patiently gave me directions to her shop (I'm a Westerner from Philadelphia). The venue is small but filled with lovely, attractively displayed clothing and accessories. It has an authentic feel to it. The owner warmly showed me garments that might be appropriate. Her manner was calm, generous, and low pressure.

Natives who want excellent clothing at reasonable prices will appreciate Azim. Westerners who might like to expand their wardrobe to include something brilliant, comfortable and creative will enjoy a visit and will receive good advice.

I highly recommend this store to anyone that needs Pakistani/Indian clothing and accessories. I recently went in to purchase some stuff and I fell in love with mostly everything the seller has. The quality is what attracted me the most. She’s got anything and everything you want and plus she does alterations for free so anything you want could be altered just for you.
