Only the River Course has been open so far this season. The Ranch Course remains closed due to COVID and probably an anticipated downturn in visiting golfers and possibly a shortage in available carts and staff. A shortage of visitors doesn’t seem to be the case. All tee times seem to fill up daily. Pace of play has been slow some days. Fairways, greens and tee boxes are in nice condition. The roughs are rough. The front nine par threes are as tough as ever. The slope up to the 17th green has fully recovered from the shrinkage of the monster bunker. Our hero and co-founder of Keystone Resort, 96 year old Bill Bergman, just aced the 15th hole here last Monday. A great game for all ages. 2022 update: Summer golf at Keystone River and Ranch is shaping up in spite of late season snow and freezes. I added from my round at the River Course...

Golf course is in really good shape. However, at $185 a round the course service should be exceptional and my experience was anything but. They overbooked our tee time resulting in a 5some and I was interrogated as if I could have caused them overbooking the tee time. The carts are extremely old and gas powered with a GPS unit that did not work the entire round. No towels or tees or water given. We were sent off 15 minutes late at 9:30 am for what was supposed to be a 9:15 am tee time. Not sure how you fall that far behind after just a couple hours of tee times. Pace of play was absolutely brutal at 5.25 hours as well. Again, course was in good shape but for $185/round it would be great to get a working GPS unit and a towel at a minimum in the cart and to play at a reasonable pace. Take your money to the...

Beautiful course in the mountains. The golfing was top notch. The service/management was horrible and deserves better.

You pay to use the range. They had it closed off. No apologies, no reimbursement, nothing in return. Just a simple, “get over it” response.

The bar was closed off. Couldn’t get a drink/Gatorade/anything to drink in the middle of summer. Cart girl was out and we found her hole 6 thankfully. (18 hole course, 1 cart girl - she was great, not her fault). Again, no apologies, no thoughtfulness - just a “get over it, screw off” attitude.

I’m an understanding person and a simple apology or anything thoughtful would have been respectful. Nope - only ego. This course deserves better management. I wish I could write a better review but I did not feel welcome...

This course was amazing and a ton of value $165. I only gave it four, because I had to save the 5 stars for their River course. This ranch course by all means us gorgeous. I feel it sets up more for the avid golfer as oppose to the river course which had the best views on a course I have ever seen. They offer a golf all day rate where you can play both courses as many times as you can fit in for the day. If you're in Vail it's worth the extra 10 minutes it takes to get to keystone rather than the 25 minutes it takes to get to the popular courses west of vail.
