I bought a my first couch in July. I already knew exactly what couch I wanted and Unclaimed Freight Furniture did a price match. I had originally worked with Jacob (whom I purchased the couch with) and he scheduled my delivery for a month and a half out because Covid was pushing everything back and he didn't know exact dates. He told me to call him around the August 21st delivery date to see if it would be in early and I can schedule the delivery earlier if possible. Well I did try to contact him and whomever I talked to over the phone was rude when I was told him that I was informed to call back and my delivery date was scheduled for Friday. They told me that the delivery people would call me on Wednesday and inform me of what time they would be there on Friday. Of course on Wednesday I never received a call from anyone because the person i talked to didn't confirm anything or ask for any actual information from me, they just wanted to get off the phone with me and were rude. Jacob never got in contact with me either to tell me any other news. I called the store back on Wednesday in the later part of the afternoon and thankfully got a hold of Heidi. She was AMAZING and apologized for my experience and was so happy to help me. She went out of her way to track my couch shipment and informed me when my couch was in and when it was ACTUALLY gonna be delivered. Unclaimed Freight Furniture should be very grateful to have such a valuable employee because if not I would have most definitely written a bad review and never recommended anyone to go through this furniture store. I will sent anyone I know that needs anything her way because she didn't have to do anything for me but she knew I was frustrated and was more than willing to offer her services even though I know she didn't get any part of the commission of my couch. Also, the manager of the store paid for my delivery fee to have my couch brought up to my apartment because she knew I was struggling for help because I had people lined up and then I couldn't find anyone for the changed date. Thank you to both of the amazing ladies that helped me out! You guys deserve all the business in...
Read moreI had looked online at their website which is like all the other Ashley Furniture stores exactly. I did this prior to going into the store and knew beforehand what I want to purchase. The store was in the process of being remodeled and there was stuff everywhere in disarray. I wish I could remember the early 20 something year old who guy helped me. Or should I say at least gave me his card only. I came in an hour before closing and they were already cashing out their registers. The man could have had an easy sale that night because I had looked at the pieces I wanted at two other stores and decided I need it to buy ASAP. I was in the area so I thought this place was the lucky one to get my order. That's the last thing they wanted to do that night was to take my Furniture order. I planned on ordering a full living room set, a dining room set and bedroom set. Along with several other miscellaneous accessories, so it wouldn't have been a small sale. You couldn't get around anything because of the remodeling nor would anyone answer my questions. I know some of the reviews are good and maybe my experience just happened to be bad or could be the sales rep I unfortunately had to deal with or maybe because of the time I went? Could be the fact they were remodeling and things were not in order? For others I hope your experience is better than mine. I will admit that I will not be back to place any order or go back anytime in the future. Sorry best of luck to...
Read moreWent here and bought 2 recliners on a Saturday night. Later that night I looked up the recliners on unclaimed freight furniture's website. I found out that the exact same order shipped to the store would have been almost exactly $100 cheaper. On Monday when we were supposed to pick up our chairs, my husband and I brought up the discrepancy to the sales guy that had placed our order, he gave us one unbelievable excuse after another. He even said that issues like this happen sometimes that is why they give us one of these, while pointing at our receipt. No, you give us a receipt because legally you have to because our balance was paid in full. Other excuses included "we price match" really, off your own website? That's nice. "90% of the time this doesn't happen", and the other 10% of us are SOL? Anyways, we cancelled our order, the salesman took down my husband's phone number and said that on Tuesday someone would contact us to let us know if the check had been deposited already or not. (Monday was presidents day). We recieved no phone call. Wednesday I went to my bank to see if the check had gone through. My bank informed me that it was set to go through that day, meaning that it would have been deposited late Tuesday even though I cancelled the order on Monday. Imagine how many people have gotten screwed over because they bought furniture in store and didn't look on the store's website, particularly the elderly. Bunch of used...
