Words of caution for those of you that appreciate customer service. Let me tell you my experience that has really soured my opinion of this Theatre.
1.) They do not except Debit/Credit Cards. They do offer some hokey ATM off to the side of the register for people to get cash, but it is quite clear they are trying to scrape a little profit by avoiding the processing fees of accepting credit/debit cards. I didn’t’ check, but it looked to be a privately owned ATM where they most likely charge a fee that goes directly into the owners pocket.
2.) Misleading advertisements. The movie I went to was Man of Steal. There was a promotion going that if you purchased a "Large Popcorn, Large Drink Combo" then you could purchase a bag of Twizzlers candy for an extra $1. There was a sign offering for a "Jumbo Popcorn, Jumbo Drink Combo" so I ordered that as it was the best value that my wife & I could share. When I asked about getting the $1 Twilzzlers I was told that I had to purchase the "Large Popcorn, Large Drink" combo to "qualify" to recieve the $1 Twizzler. I couldn't figure that one out - I purchased a more expensive combo so therefore I'm not entitled to get the $1 Twizzler? I guess I should have spent less money to get more ???
3.) They tell you that you are entitled to one free refill of popcorn and drink. No problem as how much popcorn can one person eat. I didn't need a refill during the movie, nor did I want to miss anything so the only chance I get my one free refill was just after the movie ended. When I went to get my free refill I was told no. Apparently if your movie "ends" prior to requesting the refill you are forfeit from receiving the refill.
Maybe I seem petty to make these remarks, but what I call this is CUSTOMER SERVICE of which there is NONE. And now I'm so ticked off about it I highly doubt I will be returning to this theater anytime soon. I write all this so that hopefully the next customer will not get screwed as much as I did with my...
Read moreThere is definitely a problem with their service. One movie i went to and after about fifteen minutes of annoying scratching on the film, i went to the food counter (small theater) and expressed my concern. they told me they knew about it and that they would give me a ticket to come back and see another movie at another time. SO! they didn't say the movie was defective when i purchased the ticket They showed the movie with scratches apparent during the whole movie. i traveled 20 miles to get to and was into the movie by then and wanted to find out the plot (sherlock holmes#2). The staff could care less. Then a couple of months later i thought i'd go to another movie. I looked online for the start times of the varies movies. After my twenty minute drive, i went up to the door that was locked. They were showing movies but the all had started at least 30 minutes before. I told the staff about the time on the web page, and he said it must have been a typo (which it wasn't becuz 8:30 to 9 p.m. is not a typo). And that was it, no acceptance of this error. I should have been offered a comp ticket. It's very apparent that the management, owners and staff at this movie theater do NOT care about its patrons. Plus they have no desire to deliver a quality service nor an enjoyable movie experience. So if you go, be forwarned and double check EVERYTHING. Not sure how one does that, i suspect they don't answer their...
Read moreIt was very busy when we arrived. There were only two people working from what I could observe. The popcorn was running very low they were scraping the bottom of the cabinet. While making popcorn, while waiting for more popcorn I noticed that popcorn in the kettle was burning, I could smell it. I'm not sure if they added any oil or not enough oil but it was dry and stale. I got some right out of the kettle it is not movie theater popcorn that I was used to.. I use the restroom halfway through the movie and the two people that were working were just standing behind the counter. This was a matinee, I would think they would get more popcorn ready for the next show. Popcorn cabinet again was empty. The bathroom had zero toilet paper. I get that they were super busy and maybe unprepared, but it was a top movie that came out.. crowds should be expected. You have to have foresight to go in check the bathrooms prepare the popcorn for the next show and make...
