I ordered my sectional in July. I just received it today. Now under "NORMAL" circumstances this would be totally unacceptable, but I'm sure we can all agree that 2020 has been anything but normal. We all have had to exercise extreme patience with a lot of things during these difficult times. It is because of this I gave American Furniture of Slidell 5 stars. Because while I waited for my sectional ( Sometimes impatiently. I'm only human!!!!) my sales rep, Tim called me and provided me with updates on my sectional. On numerous occasions he offered me a full refund because of the delay. Which he explained to me was due to the pandemic and the manufactures having issues with getting materials. All I can say about that being the truth is that I reached out to 5 different establishments about purchasing the exact same sectional and were told the same things Tim had told me and their prices were much higher, so I commend Tim and his team for being upfront and honest about the delay and informing me with the updates as they were given to him. Yes, it was a long wait, but in the end I'm satisfied with the service I received. I can tell you this. Their service is 100% better than Ashley Furniture in Robert, LA. I had a similar experience with them waiting on furniture for 5 months that I never received. This was not during a pandemic and they did not offer me my money back until I had to demand it back and threaten to take legal action against them. So after experiencing that from a supposedly well established franchise like Ashley during normal times. I can certainly accept a delay from a friendly local establishment with better customer service and during a pandemic. Thank you AFOS. I will definitely do business with you in the future. Read moreI first found out about this company online (I live in Gulfport, MS). I contacted them (Porsche answered) about a bedroom set they had a sale on and they confirmed that was the actual price. It took a couple of weeks before we made it there in person to check them out. We had narrowed what we wanted down to 2-3 sets but Porsche seemed very aggravated that we wanted more information on more than one set (pricing, availability, etc.) So we proceeded with the original set they had advertised online. We were quoted over $1200 more than the advertised price and we had actually removed one piece. She ended up getting the manager involved and eventually they honored the advertised price. Then we were told the delivery had to be on a Friday as that is when they go to BSL and Gulfport. So we scheduled for Friday 6/13. We got a call two days prior saying they had good news that the set would be delivered on 6/12. That wasn’t good news for us because we had moved things around to have the set delivered on 6/13 and we were actually out of town on 6/12. What is the point in scheduling deliveries if you are just going to try to change it two days prior? Upon delivery, one of the legs on the chest was loose and would wobble if you picked up the chest. It would not tighten at all and the delivery driver said they needed to swap out the whole chest. I was then told to call the store and speak to the manager (Eric) who said they would order new legs and send them to me to install. But once again, the delivery drivers said the chest should be swapped out because the legs are not the problem. Read moreI purchased Furniture for a whole house. Price and quality where great. I explained I want to pay for everything now but do not need the furniture for 2-3 months. I asked to make sure everything was in stock . The associate said yes. Once delivery time came I did not receive my 2 sets of bunk beds. I have had below par customer service since . I purchased everything in February. I was given the covid excuse . No one calls you back when they say they will. Managers tell you what you want to hear and never call you back when they tell you they will. How is my product that was in stock when I purchased it . That’s not available for almost a year. They do not offer you any help for them not coming through on what was told . They pass the buck and just say you can get a refund . But you have to go to the store and get the sales rep to do so. They had my money for almost a year. No compensation nor a professional line of communication. I understand things happen . Not communicating properly and taking care of your customer is the number one reason businesses fail.No matter how good your product is. Your main revenue and growth is your customers . Without that you do not have a business. Here is my experience. Hope it helps in making your decision to purchase or not purchase from this company.
Note: As you can see I posted this over a month ago. The employee gave me her email and asked that I contact her. I sent her an email right away asking for her to contact me and make it right.
