S & H Good Eats Cafe — Restaurant in Louisiana

Im the guy who ask the question about "Why is this place packed with cars?" So today on a Sunday, i went here with my family and WOW, this place is beyond my expectations!

I usually would go to Market Seafood place sitting in a plaza on Gause Blvd. but the food here is so good and cheap. I felt like other restaurants were robbing me this whole time and this one made me fell right at home.

The plate is clean, the food is fresh. The seafood here is the same high quality you get in other seafood restaurants.

For 7.99 i got Fried Shrimps dressed in a bun With a cup of Gumbo and Potato Salad And a small breadpudding with bourbon sauce.

And yes everything is delicious and taste like homemade.

In other restaurants they would charge you around $10 for a Poboy with only 1 side or none. You can eat Poboy eat for a cheap price with more stuff and have the same quality.

I recommend this place to litterally anyone out there who likes Cajun food and want to spend less money for the same high quality.

Remember that this place is pretty small and there is only 8 dining tables but they can quickly serve you a take out if you need.

The only thing that could be improved is a paved parking lot. By all honesty, the parking lot is the only thing i did not like, there was mud allover the grass. Of course, you dont want people to park in mud, step on it, then step inside your restaurant. Just a simple concrete pave, (it doesnt even cost much), is needed on the parking lot.

With a paved parking lot and a big sign to let drivers know that this is the best and easily affordable seafood restaurant in Slidell with almost 5 out of 5 stars, i will tell all my friends and family and neighbors and even residents of Slidell to go spend their money in S&H Good Eats Cafe because you guys serve only delicious food and hopefully you guys have a paved parking lot when i come back again. (Seriously, all the local seafood restaurants have a paved parking lot, you guys really need it and trust me. A paved parking lot and big sign will bring in more customers.

My wife and I just discovered this diamond in the rough while oogling around on the internet for “breakfast burritos” and I’m so glad we found Good Eats Cafe!!! We ordered the everything breakfast burrito with green chili sauce, and it did not disappoint! It is the tastiest burrito I have ever had, and the most different tasting burrito I have ever had! The grilled onions and mushrooms are cooked to perfection. The pictures I added will show you but it is a huge omelette wrapped in an even bigger tortilla, stuffed with hashbrowns, sausage, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and green chilies.

The only reason I’m giving Good Eats Cafe 4 stars instead of 5 is because they didn’t put ham or bacon on our burrito when we had specifically ordered the meat lovers with everything burrito, and emphasized ham, bacon and sausage. Other than that, the meal was perfect!

It’s a quaint and cozy eatery on the outskirts of town on the north side of Gause! We will definitely be eating with Good Eats again! The folks at the place were very kind and pleasant. Thank y’all for the Good Eats!

We didn't get to eat here let's just start there . So we arrived around 850am on a Monday morning and upon walking up to the entrance we see a white male having a seat outside. My husband and I are right at the door and before we could touch it a white waitress literally rushes right pass us to bring him his drink, literally brushing right into me, no excuse me no im sorry just kept walking to bring him his drink. I paid that no mind I just opened the door and proceeded to look at the menu by the register. So she walks back in and asks if we're dining in or if it's a pickup or to go order. We say we want to dine in and she says well have a seat. Well we're a party of two and all those tables are taken so we sit at the large table right by the register only for her to immediately yell at us and say you can't sit there you need two more people in your party to sit there. I then tell her those tables are all taken and we are just gonna wait for one to open. She says no you can't sit you can stand and wait. We just leave. I don't plan on spending a penny here or ever...
