Potential vendors beware of deceptive "bait and switch" pricing on rental space!!! First time I inquired a month ago, a woman told me $10 Per Table..WHAT??!..like many vendors we set up 5 to 6 tables (depending on width of space) in a horseshoe formation, so $50..No! We obviously didn't set up there then! But a friend familiar with Brightleaf told me it was misquoted. So, I called today (Sat/12Nov), and a man said $20 per space, I asked how large that is, he replied aprx 17f x 20ft. Was told ok anywhere outside. except "reserved spaces" including front, side, rear of building area. We set up in front, eventhough Noone else was at the front, because we were late setting up and felt it was better than being in the way of other vendors & their customers while we set up. Woman comes out to collect money, After We Set Up, and DEMANDS $40 for a space of 2 parking spaces, aprx 12ft Ă 16ft...when I advise quoted $20 for 17ft x 20ft, she said take ONE parking space for $20 (aprx 6ft x 8ft...Seriously??! NOT Happening!), or pay her $40!! When I complained to office, was not provided with refund of additional $20, was told front of building more expensive (Why didn't either employee on phone say that?!...Bait And Switch!), nor even provided a simple apology for Double Misquote of costs by 2 Different Employees. I accept errors and an apology would have gone a long way! It's not about $20, it's about multiple erraneous quotes, multiple reconfirmations of where & size of space, and demands of additional money After set up within those size and locations instructed by employees, prior to set up! Customers and many vendors were friendly, and a very active market, so gave a second star for that, but I will never return, not as vendor (btw my set up here today is for researching various markets in area for deciding on permanent space) nor will I return as a customer...my repeat business will...
Read more"I've EDITED my REVIEW" Well it's BIG to much to see everything ! (Mainly because I'm OLD and it's hard to walk the whole place easily) again....it's BIG!!! (Very big !!!) some vendors are Way over priced for junk, so hours of walking and looking left me buying one bird feeder and an extra bottle of water , but I'm sure there are many people that would like this a lot !!! many of the vendors are dealing in just resale market items, if everyone coming out here likes to look for beautiful plants, adorable puppies, and other animals like chickens & turkey's as well as [to numerous to list items] just waiting to be found, This is by far the biggest flea market I've ever seen !! They have both inside and outside area's to see "I've edited my review because after thinking about the fact I'm pretty old 70, and it's hard to walk a long way, I feel I did not give a fair review the first time, Vendors out there also told us that the fee's for setup in the outside spaces are VERY reasonable !! so if your looking for a place to sell your goods, where you'll have hundreds of people looking, this is the place to be, and if you love walking & looking for those must have items, This is the place to find them, hope you find my review...
Read moreOnly replies with Thank you for your patronage when it's a bad review because they don't care about any vendors there. Just making money off of them. On another not here is another review for me being a vendor there. First off, Multiple things being stolen from shop and the flea market doing nothing about it. They would always say we will look at cameras but never shown us anything or did anything about people stealing products from vendors. Goes to show how much they care about vendors and Since my post was deleted from their other page I will leave my review here. We were a vendor at the Brightleaf Flea Market for over 12 months. We had a crystal booth located near the front of the building inside. We have recently been forced to leave our booth because we couldnât deal with the 105 degree temperatures inside and even though we were paying our rent on our space there because of the EXTREME temperatures inside the building we closed shop for the month of August to do vending shows around the area. We were told we HAVE to be there and have to have the booth open. We refuse to support a business that does not care about the welfare of their vendors or the customers that come to spend their hard earned money at such a place. We packed up our crystal shop and left the Brightleaf flea Market. So my advise is take your money to a business that cares about their vendors and the people that are spending their money at their business. I pray that the vendors that are staying there do not have a heat stroke and die in that building. A business like this should care about ALL the vendors that are making them rich or least a good living!
