Green Mountain Tableworx — Local services in Smithfield

Our entire experience with Green Mountain Tableworx was awesome. Before we found GMT, we had done a fair amount of research and priced some tables on line, most of which were made overseas. Then we visited GMT’s factory/store in Smithfield, RI where we met owner Jamie Holcomb (a Veteran) and his cool dog after we had made a weekend appointment. Jamie took us through the whole place, showed us numerous types of wood and configurations explaining each in detail. He also showed us numerous pieces that were in various stages of completion, a number of which were being donated to charitable causes. We ultimately decided on “figured maple” wood and a deep blue epoxy based on our preferences. After Jamie had configured and we had agreed on a price, he made sure that we had some extra touches. GMT manufactured the table about a month earlier than promised, and Jaime himself delivered with a co-worker after a delivery person called in sick. We love the table, appreciated the tour and the service and can’t say enough good things. Since we’ve had the table, everyone to enter our dining area has marveled at the table. Bottom line: You can get an amazing table from a great/charitable guy/company made in the US for no more than you’d pay for an impersonal imported piece on-line. I have always dreamed of having a live edge black walnut dining table. A table that would become an heirloom for my family. I did a lot of research and reached out to Jamie Holcomb, owner of Green Mountain TableWorx. After a couple discussions, it was obvious to me that Jamie is passionate about his work. I took a ride up to their Concord NH store and met with Nicki. She was so knowledgeable and was a tremendous help narrowing down the table base. There were so many amazing bases to choose from!
