Brixs Grocery Store (Halal Meats) — Local services in Snellville

My family has been a fan of this place since the store showed up on this side of town and I'm absolutely proud to share this review. I have gone into other halal markets and the stores had an odor, were cluttered, and so I was driving all the way to Norcross for my meat...not anymore. Up the street and around the corner I found a wonderful variety of fresh, halal and zabihah meats and seafood (including steaks!! CUT BY THE OWNER IN HOUSE- IN HOUSE BUTCHER FAM!). Other halal fare include Jamaican beef patties, beef bacon and deli meats...OH! DID I MENTION YOU CAN ALSO GET YOUR HALAL SUB OR BREAKFAST SANDWICH HERE TOO!...Yes, imagine being on the way to work and grabbing a fresh coffee or organic ginger drink (also made in house) and a HALAL BACON EGG AND CHEESE BISCUIT! Owner of extremely responsive and friendly and if he doesn't have what you need just ask! He's also very accommodating. This business is Muslim owned This business is African American owned This business should be your new meat market!...

They honestly don’t deserve a star. I wrote down what I wanted in my sandwich, since I couldn’t get them on the phone. I don’t know if he couldn’t read or what. I ask for reg turkey, I got what they called turkey ham. They were out or they didn’t put on mustard, banana pepper, oil, vinegar, pepperjack cheese, tomatoes, and salt & pepper. He also put jalapeños which I didn’t ask for and the lettuce was black and slimy . Worst sandwich ever! My daughter took it back and he could get the owner on the phone for a refund, she was told to come back!! Out of date and unfit product twice I will not make the same mistake again!!...

I heard of this store from fellow bus drivers, and even had the pleasure of eating breakfast sandwiches provided to our organization by Marco and his lovely wife. The ingredients tasted fresh and flavorful, down to the handmade juice! That convinced me to visit the store in person. I have already made Brix's a staples in my family's grocery needs.
