For the second Christmas in a row, my son has asked for cooking classes with Chef Marcia. My boy is pretty clumsy so I was initially fearful of how he would do when we took him last year. But not only has Chef Marcia been extremely forgiving of his accidents in the kitchen, she also speaks to him with respect and kindness that builds his confidence to do better. In return for his attentiveness to instruction and a desire to learn, she has granted him independence in the kitchen that he takes home. My son makes me breakfast in bed and he is 8! I don't even have to worry about him alone in the kitchen because they are taught proper technique and safety at all times including contamination and knife techniques.
I could say so many wonderful things we are getting from these classes, but one of my favorites has been the expansion of my sons' palate. She has a different recipe for every week (even if you come every week of the year). Because of that and the pride my son has in cooking his own food, he has tried so many new things, I have not been able to get him to try otherwise, and he likes them!!!
He has even made his own cookbook of the recipe cards she provides for the kids. At school, when they had to draw a picture of someone they admire, he drew Chef Marcia. We feel so fortunate to have this business in our community. I can't wait for his next group of...
Read moreI hosted my daughter's 5th birthday here, and she had an absolute blast. They were able to accommodate 14 kids, and all of them left with their own box of custom made cupcakes. The facility was clean and spacious enough for each child to have their own cooking space. Each kid had their own smock. The kids worked in pairs. There was also space in the front for us to set up the food, and as the kids' cupcakes were baking, they had time to eat. There were 2 employees who assisted the kids. They were patient and kind. They were able to keep the kids engaged and did not get frustrated one bit. We would definitely host another birthday party here or even participate in the camps. The children learned measuring and following instructions via a recipe. Since they worked in pairs, they learned collaboration and compromise. They learned patience as they had to wait for their cupcakes to bake. They got to be creative in decorating their cupcakes. They used a mixer to make their own buttercream frosting. The location has a blast freezer so the cupcakes are able to cool fast enough for the kids to be able to decorate them. I am impressed by this business idea. It was something different than the typical trampoline birthday party, and I was not sure how it would be received. However, all of the kids--ages 2-10--thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I highly recommend this place and...
Read moreI can't say enough good things about this amazing place! We recently had my daughter's birthday party here and everything was perfect! They had the table set and decorated, they had a cute area to put the snacks I brought, they had fun balloons and the place was ours for the entire party.
The kitchen was so clean and everything was super efficient. The teens really enjoyed making the cupcakes and frosting. They really got into it and had little mini-competitions to see who had the best decorating or the craziest flavor combo. They had a fun time decorating and tasting them and my daughter said they were talking about the party on Monday - they all had cupcakes to take home.
The staff were very open to their ideas and were pros at giving direction and space at the same time by letting them incorporate their suggestions into their creations. The team was amazing and helpful and everyone had a great time. Scheduling was easy, they took care of everything with a friendly smile, and if you need a place to host a party -...
