It's a blast of joy to ride on Dragon - US 129. A few recommendations: -If you are new here, better to ride at early AM, mid week preferably, many sharp turns within 11 miles, get familiar with the road. -Do not ever cross the double line, you can get a head on collision easy and I'm not trying to scare you, the very 2nd reason why not to: tire gets slippery on paint in case you didn't know, either on double yellow line - to your left, or on white line along the road - to your right. -See shade on the road - likely has wet spots on tarmac, early mornings, especially after the day was raining, note this... -If you ride fairly with less speed, pull over and let the faster riders pass, this is a proper etiquette when riding here, don't be like an anxious squirrel in the traffic ! 🙂 -Do not tailgate, keep adequate distance. -Area has a very little close to none cellphone reception, download offline Google map to navigate better - see on YouTube how to vids. There is a cellphone coverage spot at the beginning from the TN side, where it says Scenic View, walk towards uphill, where 2 power towers are. -Walkie Talkie radios can be great when riding with friends. -Its not necessary to show bikers hand gesture ✌️ keep hands on the steering all time. -Check your tire PSI in the morning before you start ride.
Coolest cars and motorcycles you will ever see. Local photographers are on site with a tent on the side of the road, google US129 photos and will see their websites, choose the day you were on the road and will see your photos. The souvenir store has a great gift selection: T-shirts, key chains, mugs, etc... Coffee, snacks and water are available too, friendly staff... I'm about 500 miles away and visit this place a few times on the riding season, can't wait to come back...

Having had the privilege of driving this iconic route not once, but an impressive four times during a mere two-week stay, I can attest to its magnetic allure. Each bend and twist in the road is a dance of man, machine, and nature, with the verdant backdrop providing a picturesque contrast to the tarmac.
The cherry on top was undoubtedly attending the Porsche rally hosted by Rennsport Dragon Rally. The blend of camaraderie, the symphony of roaring engines, and the shared passion for precision engineering and driving made it an unforgettable experience.
