Purchased two bikes in July’22(approx. $1800 w/accessories)after 35 miles of use we had to bring the bikes in for a problem with the brakes. In total over the next two months we had the bikes in five times for the same problem. The mechanics did clean the discs and on the second return changed the pads. Not long after that the same problem was back and they tried cleaning again which was just another temporary fix. When we had them there again I was told by the owner(Craig)that there was nothing more he would do and that all brakes make noise and vibrate I contacted trek and they had me take the bikes to another dealer who ended up changing out the entire braking systems on both bikes to fix the problem I was told that rt 31 should have bedded the brakes in before we took them—The owner did not do this or tell us that this needed done As you can see in many numerous other reviews that the attitude of this shop owner is deplorable. He talks down to his customers and doesn’t seem to care at all. He would repeatedly say that he has been in business for 35 years and I guess that makes him right about everything. All he needed to do was to call trek and they would have simply taken care of the problem (warranty issue)immediately as I and the second dealer did The owner will say that I rushed them for repairs (one trip in I did call ahead of time like 3 to 4 pm and the younger mechanic told me to go ahead and bring them and when it was closer to closing time I told him that I could bring them back another day but he said that he was okay. Owner had a different story I only purchased bikes from this location because it was five minutes from my house instead of going to Pittsburgh area or Johnstown. My mistake!! Anyhow be sure to read all of the negative reviews on this place...
Read moreHorrible customer service by whom I assume is the owner. We were the only people in there simply trying to decide whether we would like to splurge on purchasing a pair of board boots for our son or rent a pair for the time being because we own a board already. I simply asked to try a pair of rentals on since they were more of his size to see the difference and the gentleman was very rude back to me when stating that “we weren’t going to just “try” some on but rather we were either going to buy or going to rent, end of story.” Even though I didn’t care to spend a dime at this point with this man I chose to do the right thing for my son and rented him some boots. He also failed to mention that he was going to add on an extra fee simply because I was renting them at 7:30 at night for the NEXT day - discovered this only upon studying my receipt. We have been to this ski shop many many times over the past 15 years but I will do everything in my power to never have to rent or purchase anything from here again. I will certainly buy a pair before returning back to ski again. Had my children not been with me I would have given him a better...
Read moreAbsolutely terrible customer service. I have never experienced such attitude and condescension from a retail worker (or owner, I'm not positive). While the prices on rentals are fair, their policies are not at all flexible and nobody deserves to receive belittlement when coming into a shop with a friendly demeanor while PROVIDING THEM BUSINESS. I entered the establishment at around 5:30 to ask if the skis I had used the day before could be put aside for me because I am going to the slopes early tomorrow and wanted to avoid the 45 min wait I experienced on my first trip. This was apparently not feasible despite being a very simple request. I then asked if I could pay for my skis now while there wasn't a line to get rentals and simply keep them in my car overnight. He acted like I was going to teleport over to seven springs and salvage the last hour and a half of skiing on his precious rentals. Upon explaining that I wasn't going to the mountain tonight, I was told I could wait until the slopes closed at 7pm, come back and then pay a fee to keep them overnight. I'd recommend going anywhere else even if it means...
