From refrigerators to sinks, stoves, tubs and light fixtures, DIY has supplied us with everything needed to complete our barn loft apartment. We saved literally THOUSANDS and were provided high quality items to boot. We paid a mere $150 for an $900 chandelier, $600 for a $2,000 refrigerator $5 for a $150 mirror, & $125 for a $350 utility sink--just to name a few. NONE of our items were damaged and all of them work properly. If you cannot be satisfied with those deals--you're probably never going to be.
Aside from their great deals, DIY Supply has some of the most gracious and helpful employees I've encountered within the area. A quick mention of my task to complete our unconventional apartment put the entire staff in a frenzy. They were super helpful and excited to help me coordinate pieces that might suit my plans and ensure they worked in small spaces. They even went as far to send updates on new items in stock and allowed me to pay online. When I couldn't make it back to pick up my items as quickly as I had hoped, they understood and worked with me. One would expect them to have been a bit hasty upon my late arrival to retrieve my things but NOT here. I was greeted with super nice, kind, and helpful individuals ready to load my truck and help me get everything secured for the drive home. You don't get this service in other stores.
If you've read this far you're probably saying to yourself, "they must be related, or they must be friends..." though I befriend everyone, I had absolutely NO prior relationship with ANYONE at this place before now. My point: buy from them...they're truly great & so is their merchandise. You won't be...
Read moreThe woman who works the register here is one of the rudest individuals I've had the displeasure of speaking with. I recently went in to look at bathroom vanities, and every question I asked received a terse, unpleasant response. I ultimately bought the cheapest one they had because I needed something quick, and made plans to pick it up the next Monday (she very rudely told me I had seven days to pick it up). After the fact I found something better for close to the same price elsewhere. I asked if I could have a refund instead of picking it up and she snapped back that they don't do refunds.
Caveat emptor. If you buy something here, you're going to be stuck with it.
As an aside, at the same time I bought a washer and dryer at Somerset Home Center, near the mall. The guys there were incredibly friendly and the prices were pretty good. They were a little low on stock when I was shopping and didn't have a vanity that fit my space, otherwise I would've bought from them. If you're looking for this kind of stuff, I'd recommend taking your business to Somerset Home...
Read moreI used to love coming to this place until they started raising their prices. If I wanted to pay full retail I would go buy one in the appliance store. You would think âscratch and dentâ would mean something! I just bought a griddle grill and I was unable to take it with me so I informed the cashier (owners wife) that I would be back tomorrow to pick it up. When I came back the next day I asked if it would be possible to exchange it for other merchandise inside the building (I was looking at purchasing a $1000+ refrigerator), she told me âwe donât do exchangesâ. I could understand this better if I was asking for my money back! As I was there I overheard a couple guys (customers) say âthese prices are way too high for them to be selling scratch and dentâ. I have to agree with the customer, the prices are extremely too high for what we are taking a chance on buying, and knowing we will not be able to exchange or get a refund. This business will really need to change for the better...
