Dollar General — Local services in South Bloomfield Township

I am the manager of this store. I am very proud of this store also. We keep it clean and as tidy as we can. We take great pride in it. I got rid of the trash can due to people over filling it thinking this was a car wash place but that was in the spring. Dollar General does not supply employees with shirts. I supplied 1 shirt for my employees. It is summer time so bees are out there’s no getting around it. Im sure 1 peach didn’t draw them all in. The cigarette butts are swept but it’s also an ongoing battle with smokers unlike myself who is not. As for breaking items while bagging accidents do happen and we will make it right even when the customer grabs the bag and rips it and drops the Starbucks frappe bottle, I still made it right. As for the personality of my team I’m sorry that one of us is “a thousand papercuts” but I guess we aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but we do our best and give as great of customer service as we can. I’m sure you aren’t everyone’s cup of tea either but we don’t make up fictional complaints to hurt a business. Our Coke gets delivered every week. But we are at the hands of a vendor so we may not get in everything that someone wants. But the good thing is Dollar General is every 10 mile radius here so if you aren’t happy here there is others you can go to....

I have had problems at this store on numerous occasions, but today takes the cake. The cigarette butts in the parking lot really need cleaned up. The people who work here are rarely, if ever, wearing Dollar General shirts. The trash is over flowing. There are bees because there's a rotten peach in the parking lot and the ground is sticky because of it. You can't get through a single isle without being attacked by over stock at every turn and the cashier is as pleasant as a million paper cuts. Furthermore, it takes two weeks or more for this location to get their Coke orders in, so their beverage choices are lame. Been sitting out in the lot for a half hour. Supposed to open at 8:00am. It's now 8:30am. I didn't realize hours of operation were rough a estimate. This is as bad as the day I pulled up and the sign said they were closed for a few hours to attend an associate's graduation. It's nice to support your staff, but what about your customers who have driven miles for the convenience of your store? Imagine if every business operated this way.
