Highland Pizza & Ice Cream — Restaurant in South Bloomfield Township

I was told it would be a 20 minute wait. After 20 minutes I go to check on my order and I was told 5 more minutes.. 10 minutes later I go to check again and told 5 more minutes.. this went on for over an hour and I had already told the boy that I have to leave for a volleyball game and that I had watched 3 families that also ordered large pizzas get their pizza before me not counting the drive through that got their orders after ordering after me as well. That's not even the worst part! The kid goes to get his manager to give my money back and this guy comes out and says what do you need?!, with an attitude. I say I ordered at 12:22 pm and it is now 1:22 pm and I need my money because I don't have anymore time to wait. This guy says fine, but your pizza will be done in 5 more minutes again with an attitude and I said sir I don't have 5 more minutes, I need to go. And he says fine I'll give it back, but the pizzas are made to order and I tell him again I had 3 families that ordered after me get their orders already and he yelled and said I'm not apologizing again! So I say you never apologized in the first place. Crazy how he was talking to me all because they screwed up and misplaced my ticket and had to come to the front to give me my money back.. straight ridiculous... we came here after a baseball game, got ice cream and pizza. the strawberry ice cream was gross, along with a vanilla shake that tasted like rotten milk, not to mention there was more milk than anything it was not even a shake. we’ve been sitting here for 30ish minutes after being told 20 minutes. since we’ve been here i’ve witnessed three people come in and complain about their food not being made right. THREE in the last 30 minutes. that is crazy. there was this couple that has been here longer than us and they messed their food up twice. the lady working up at the front register is wearing a hat that says “naughty” in my years of customers service that is just not okay on top of that she was very rude to us. i didn’t know they had different cone types because it was our first time being here, and she just looked at me shook her head and said what cone in a very mean way. it was our first and our last time. i was over it when we were standing waiting to order and the server was there just talking to her co-worker about some drama, this is a place to eat not a high school lunch room. i was excited to try something different than where we usually go but this...

We was camping kinda close to this gem. I had a personal blt pizza, my wife had the Highland sub and my son had the wings my son who is still pre teen said "the wings was bussin". My wife said her sub was really flavourful and the bun was one of her favorite sub buns she has had in awhile. My blt pizza with no t because I don't like tomatoes, was pretty good. The crust held up nice had a good balance of toppings, the only thing I would have change was I should have ate it before we traveled back to the camp ground. The pizza was great I can only imagine it tasting better being hot out of the oven. We did also got some ice cream while we was there, which was delicious. The employee that greated us was an amazing young lady that was super helpful and kind. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner. He seems to be a great guy and he was real friendly.
