Hamilton Beauty Spa — Local services in South Boston

I usually do not write reviews, unless I have something nice to say but, after giving it a lot of thoughts, I have decided to voice my opinion on the service I have received. I made an appointment for a haircut and a color retouch during the week of Christmas. My bill came to a total of $ 93, including the 20% tip I left for the hairstylist. After going home, a friend came to visit and I told her I had my hair color retouched that day at the Splendor Salon. She was very surprised because, after looking at my hair, she realized that my hair still had a lot of white spots all over. After looking in the mirror, I was appalled at the fact that, after spending 93 dollars, my hair stll had a lot of white patches all over. I have tried to get in touch with the hairstylist and left several messages, which were never returned. Finally, after getting in touch with her and explaining the problem, I asked her if I could come over to show her my hair but she said she did not have not even one minute to give me. She did offered for me to come in next week so she could see what I was talking about. but I told her I could not take off from work againg, after taking several days off for the Holidays. I am very displeased with the service and I will never go back. It seems to me that, after spending that much money, you should have received the sevice you...

I went to this salon twice and loved the girl who did my hair. Unfortunately this week I called to get something different done and she was no longer working there. I agreed to go to someone else. I wanted blonde balayage and my roots touched up, a trim and for her to thin my hair out. My “blonde” is orange. And she did not cut my hair the length I asked, I had to remind her four times to thin it. She did a completely different color on my roots and said I would have a dark band around the top because the color she put on my roots was lighter than the color I originally had. So instead of matching my previous color she just picked whatever color brown she wanted. I paid $165 and was literally fighting tears tinge l realized how bad my hair looked. I will NEVER go back here again. I would not recommend to anyone. This salon is more worried about appearance of the salon than they are about the quality of their work and completely overpriced. The two hours I was there all the employees were in the back giggling and talking and I heard the phone ring at least 6 times in my time there and they wouldn’t answer because they were too busy talking....

This was my first time going here. Quite frankly it will be my last. I specified the length that I wanted my hair to be, and it was completely chopped off. I felt like I was getting beat with the hair brush as she was brushing my hair. Was shown a picture and it looked absolutely nothing like it. I'm very particular about my hair and needless to say this completely dropped my self confidence. So just make sure you guys do your research before going anywhere. She was nice so I will give the one star...
