Had a great time with Capt Donny on a 6 hr trip. He called the afternoon before to let us know about possible low activity due to new moon phase, but guaranteed we would have fun and keep looking for fish. 1st stop he put us on a school of trout. Everyone caught some. We then ventured out to deeper water where caught some Mangrove Snapper, Grunts, broke off some Grouper, and almost had a Baracuda til the line snapped. Caught some snook and redfish as well on the final spot. Great time and highly recommend. We will be back!

I read another review that said fishing with Donny is like fishing with an old friend. So true. We had a group of 8 so Donny secured a second captain for us and took us for the best day of fishing. He worked relentlessly for us during the trip all while keeping an easy conversation filled with laughs. All of us had an amazing time and between our two boats we caught 90 fish in 4 hours. I would highly recommend working with Donny.

I got this fishing trip for my Husband and my Nephews. They can't say enough about the trip Captain Don explained the Marine life. They saw stingrays dolphins and sharks. They caught enough fish for our whole party to eat and the hotel we stayed at cooked it for us. Captain Don't was awesome. We get down here again would definitely book again. We highly recommend him and Reel Experience! Thanks again!

Captain Donny was an absolutely amazing guide. I would highly recommend him!!!

The day we went fishing, there were horrendous winds and we weren’t sure if we would be able to catch any fish. The winds definitely put a monkey wrench into the captains plans. He was able to make the adjustments and put us in spots where we were able to catch fish which was fantastic.

Captain Donny was fantastic with our group, attending to all of our needs. He gave us some good history lessons on the area, gave us a tour of a few pretty cool places (that also happened to be great fishing spots). We had an 8th grader with us who had never really fished before. Donny took great care of him, taught him what to do, put him in positions to catch fish (which he did) and now he is addicted and wants to go fishing a lot more often (which is what you want to hear). We had an amazing time and unforgettable memories. If I were traveling back down to Ana Maria Island, Captain Donny would be the first guide I called.

Big shout out to Captain Donny Freeman and Reel Experience Fishing Charters….. my family had a ball with him last week on the water! We weren’t sure what to expect in February with the weather (and dreaded red tide) but we had the BEST time. My six and ten year old sons both pulled up a ton of fish. Donny was great with the boys, demonstrating equal parts thoughtful instruction and patience 🙂 He also knew just where to take us to ensure we had a safe and fun experience. Can’t wait to fish with him again this spring / summer when we’re back!
