Amato's Garden Center Nursery — Local services in South Brunswick

We had our front lawn landscaped from them and they provided a beautiful design and completed the job with the guarantee that if the trees don't grow they will replace it within the one year period. Anthony did stop by and replace a few but they didnt survive and when I called again I was told because we didn't water they didnt survive and can't keep coming to replace them . Though this was in the said 1 year period. The customer service for 1 is always difficult with them and they refuse to accommodate your requests once the job is done. After being a customer with Amato's for the past two years, it's time to write this review. Their nursery has a wide selection of plants and shrubs. Every year, we purchase veggies, herbs and flowers for our garden, and they've never failed. Their customer service is wonderful. This year, for the first time, we decided to hire Amato's to do our landscaping in our backyard (after 3 trees had to come down - lots of sunny open space to work with). The team who worked on my property was great. They were really friendly and patient. I would work with Amato's again in the future on different projects. However, I would hesitate to buy plants from the garden center. One of the 4 boxwoods they installed didn't last a year, and none of the Liriopes/Lily turfs have flowered (they're actually turning brown) in the first year. Everything else seems to be doing well but it's a bit of wait and see. I'm going to enjoy it while I can because I have been looking forward to it for so long--but I suspect this is a project that I will need to redo and paying for plants twice...
