As an avid traveler, I have had the opportunity to experience various airports around the world, and Burlington International Airport has truly left a lasting impression on me. From the moment I stepped foot into this quaint airport located in Burlington, Vermont, I felt a sense of warmth and efficiency that sets it apart from many other airports I've visited.
One of the standout features of Burlington International Airport is its manageable size. Despite being a smaller airport, it offers a range of amenities and services that cater to the needs of all travelers. Navigating through the airport is a breeze, with clear signage and well-organized facilities. It's refreshing to have a less hectic experience compared to larger, more crowded airports.
The staff at Burlington International Airport are exceptionally friendly and helpful. From the moment I checked in to going through security, I was met with smiles and assistance. The security process was efficient and streamlined, yet thorough, ensuring the safety of all passengers without causing unnecessary delays. This level of efficiency is especially impressive considering the challenging times we live in.
The facilities at Burlington International Airport are well-maintained and clean. The restrooms were tidy, and the seating areas were comfortable. The airport also offers various shopping and dining options, allowing travelers to grab a quick bite or find unique souvenirs from Vermont. The selection of eateries offered a taste of the local cuisine, giving travelers a chance to experience the flavor of the region.
One aspect that stood out to me was the airport's commitment to sustainability. Burlington International Airport has made significant strides in reducing its environmental impact. From energy-efficient practices to waste reduction initiatives, they showcase a dedication to creating a more sustainable travel environment. This conscious effort aligns with the growing trend of eco-conscious travelers, making it an appealing choice for those looking to minimize their carbon footprint.
The airport's location is another major advantage. Situated in close proximity to downtown Burlington, it allows for easy access to the city's attractions, restaurants, and hotels. Whether you're a visitor or a resident, the convenience of reaching the airport is a huge plus.
In terms of flight options, Burlington International Airport provides a surprising array of destinations and airlines. Despite its smaller size, it offers connections to major hubs and cities across the United States, allowing for seamless travel planning. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, the airport's range of flight choices makes it a versatile option.
Lastly, I must commend the airport's commitment to safety, particularly during challenging times such as the recent global pandemic. The measures taken to ensure the health and well-being of travelers were evident and reassuring. From enhanced cleaning protocols to clear communication on safety guidelines, Burlington International Airport prioritizes the health of its passengers.
In conclusion, Burlington International Airport offers a delightful and efficient travel experience. Its size, friendly staff, clean facilities, sustainability initiatives, convenient location, flight options, and commitment to safety make it a standout choice for travelers. I would highly recommend Burlington International Airport to anyone looking for a smooth and...
Read moreI flew into JFK roughly 4:00 PM 11/6, flying from Orlando. I had 1 carry on, that had my son’s medication he needs every morning/night, my work computer and phone, and winter coats for when we landed in Vermont. I was told at the gate, I needed to check my carry on, and because I didn’t have any other bag, I left all of my belongings I needed in that carry on. We were boarding the plane, my carry on was 2 feet from the plane, and somehow was tagged with someone else’s name, and then left at MCO. My frustration happens when I land at JFK. There was a manager named Zack L. helping at first to locate my lost carry on that I was forced to check. The bag was found and I was told it would be in the next flight and I would have it by the end of the night. I asked Zack who can verify that my bag is getting on that plane, relaying the importance of my 2 year olds medication. He stated “I didn’t even have to file the claim, and I did that for you, so what else do you want.” I told him filing a claim that Delta lost my bag is the bare minimum of his job duties as the manager. He then stated “It has nothing to do with me, this is on you.” I reminded him that he represents Delta and his customer service and way of speaking to PAYING customers was unacceptable. Then a woman who stated she was the next supervisor came out of the door, and stated “It’s your fault you don’t have your sons medication, if it was important you should’ve kept it on you.” No introduction, no “Hello how can I help”. I was visibly upset, worried about my son missing his medication timeline. All I wanted was someone to be able to confirm that my bag would be loaded. That was it. I was told “I’m leaving” and “We’ve already gone above and beyond by filing a missing bag claim for you”, which yet again is the BARE minimum of their job. I have never in my life been treated so disrespectful by an airline company. They were rude from the start. The original gentleman we had was actually the one who filed the claim, NOT Zack, and right after he typed up the report, he came up to me with his coat on, back pack on, and said “The manager will help you I’m leaving.” The worst customer service experience, and the worst flight experience. That was not how a manager behaves or treats paying customers, and all of the other employees involved showed lack of care for customers, and lack of professionalism.I was told my bag would be delivered in 1-6 hours after the flight lands. It is now 6 AM the NEXT day, and my bag is STILL NOT HERE. This is unacceptable and I expect a phone call apology for this entire experience as well as compensation for the trouble your employees caused from...
Read moreI departed this airport on May 11,2016, yesterday. The Security worker at the desk when you first walk up to security was so rude! I pushed my luggage there in a cart. He yelled at me saying YOU CANT BRING THAT THING IN HERE! I said okay Sir you don't have to yell. I'm not deaf. He said, ( in a nasty tone) " I don't know why you brought that thing up here anyway." I said Sir I have COPD and can not carry my luggage. Then he said you don't even have your Boarding Pass. This is your luggage receipt. I started hunting threw my bags then asked him " if I go back down will they give me one?" He said , " Well? I'm sure they will." Went back down, got the boarding pass. Back to this guy pushing the luggage cart. As I walked up he unhooked the vinyl strap that's connected to poles to let a lady threw. Then he hooked it back. I showed him I had the paperwork. He said well, push that thing up against that wall over there. I walked up to the vinyl strap struggling with my luggage and said I have everything. He said, Well crawl under the strap then. So this guy made me duck down and crawl under that strap. This was AFTER I had told him I struggled with my bags because I had COPD! I was mortified! I went to the next guy who began checking my luggage. I was the last passenger for that flight so the hateful guy joined him and still had his nasty attitude. Then He handed me a little baggy and said put every liquid, hand lotion, cream andything liquid in your purse in this bag along with all those liquids you already have in your baggy. had a bag that contained my small 3 oz liquids (that I had the whole trip there threw 2 large airports) I asked if medication counted. Because those had been in my purse threw all my travels threw other airports. He said YES! Take them all out and if they don't fit, throw them in that trash can. I said, I have to throw away my medicine? He said yes! All you can have is this little bag throw out everything else. Well my tube of cortisone for my allergies and my full bottle of perscription eye drops went into the trash. I will NEVER!!!!! travel threw that airport again!!!! My husband who's Military and flys all the time is horrified and wants this guys name. Unfortunately because I'm a very shy person I didn't look at him long enough to read his name tag but, I sure will never forget his...
