Myself, my husband, and our two friends went into this package store yesterday evening. When my friend and I were ready to purchase our items my husband and I were asked to show our ID, since we have CT IDs the woman rudely informed us that we needed to display another form of ID that had our signature on it, this was strange as we have purchased alcohol at a number of different package stores in RI and have never been asked to do so. I had my secondary signed ID and my husband offered any of his credit cards and even his social security card however the woman stated this was not acceptable because his were not signed, he stated he could just sign the back since it clearly has his name printed on it, however she said no. I thought this was fine, as my husband was only standing near us and was not intending to purchase any alcohol anyway so I asked him to just leave the package store. The woman VERY RUDELY stated "nope it doesn't work that way. I can't sell any of you anything." I was extremely confused by this as my husband was not even purchasing anything, she even refused to sell to my friend who does have a RI ID. Our other friend with us purchased his items a few minutes prior to us and he also does not have a RI ID however was NOT asked to show two forms of ID and instead had his ID scanned and the sale was made. For whatever reason this woman decided to target us. We then went to another package store and explained the situation and was informed by the owners that this was in fact NOT RI state policy to ask for two IDs, especially since my husband was not even purchasing anything he should have just been asked to leave the store, they informed us that they have heard complaints in the past about this worker and that she was indeed just being extremely rude. I have never written a negative review for a business but I have never had such a rude experience at any other store I have been in. The entire thing was bizarre and they have now lost...

Very small cramped store , with a liquor selection that reflects it's size. In terms of price, Wolf Rock tends to be higher in price than other local liquor stores. These are not the reasons why I gave Wolf Rock 1 star, the main reason is how I was treated while I was there. To start, the cashiers glared at me as I walked through the door and looked at their selection, while periodically complaining about their reviews to other coworkers. When I got to the counter, I placed my I.D on the counter before the cashier rudely greeted me as she looked at my I.D. Now I know I look young, but the cashier said because it's an out of state I.D, she has to see other forms of identification. I get it, but no other liquor store anywhere has done this to me yet and my I.D has a few years of wear marks on it. I present her with 2 different cards with my name on them, she sneers and looks them over again. Rudely says "these aren't signed" so I offer to show her my insurance card or any other card in my wallet. She then has me recite my address all the way down to the zipcode (why not do this first?). At this point a line of 4-5 people formed behind me, and her coworker finally told her to let me go. Never before have I been treated this poorly at a liquor store. I will not be recommending this to anyone, and in fact, I will turn people away from it any...

I was treated unbelievably poorly by a cashier with a nose ring. She raised her voice at me saying that I had been previously kicked out, when I hadn't been. I promised her I hadn't been, and she kept repeating "I was there" (un-instigated) as though she were a child. When I left she gave me a condescending "byeeee". Although she thought she was kicking someone she was supposed to out, she DID NOT have to be so publicly rude about it, most adults try to not to talk to people this way for a reason, and it was just frustrating and undeveloped. (Let alone at work while I was being polite!) Especially consider when I told my roommate about it he said "was it the girl with the nose piercing?" because she was wrong about his ID and treated him similarly. KEY TAKEAWAY: Currently she is 0 for 2 and treating people as she does. She knew my ID was real bc she scanned it.
