Wow...wow...wow...what an incredible day.
We are coming during the summer...so my review is only for the gondola and coaster...
My daughter came to visit from L.A. I wanted to experience something different with her...so we decided this would be a fun day and get us out of the heat.
We booked the tickets online and when we arrived parked in the parking garage.
There are a lot of restaurants in the area and other things to see. I recommend eating at one of those because the food prices on the mountain are VERY HIGH.
We went to the counter to check in and they gave us wristbands to ride the gondola and roller coaster.
There are also many other things you can experience up there that I had no idea such as gem mining...a huge tamarack to climb as well as ski lifts to enjoy.
We rode the gondola up the mountain. Half way up you can get off and take photos..walk some trails ect.
You get back on the gondola to ride to the top. The views were incredibe...the ride was fun...perfect day.
At the top...you walk to the roller coaster entrance. There is a building with tables and food for those who are only riding the gondola to wait. I took one look at the food prices and walked out. They are ridiculous. We ate later at a restaurant.
They have plenty of bathrooms and free water stations which was awesome.
I was nervous about the roller coaster...but that soon faded. As I started up the hill..it was slow at first...then gravity takes you down the mountain. THERE IS A BRAKING SYSTEM SO YOU CONTOL THE SPEED.
it was just an incredible awesome experience...I would for sure come here again.
We were on our way walking out...when we were told that riding the ski lift was included. Awesome...so we rode that a couple times before leaving...and loved loved it. If my kids were mot hungry..I would ride it a few more times.
We had such an amazing day. It was 93.00 per person for the gondola...
Read moreA ton over board on the masks, we all understand the importance of Disney World having to fallow their governments requirements and yes we still choose to take our family and spend our hard earned money there, but remember why families go to Disney World and especially in these times, please try to understand its hard to keep a mask over a child's face at all times, even to the point we were not "allowed" to purchase our Ridge Mountain Rollercoaster Ride pitcher ,due to my young child's mask had fallen a little "ON THE ROLLERCOASTER RIDE" and a manager was called over to "ok" the picture ,as it was denied, and that's after a hot day of many many employees, constantly telling my young children, "pull up your mask , or you'll be removed"??? But they will push hundreds through each ride without any worries of any disinfectant ,? But truly, please find a better approach to children, with the masks, or maybe speak only to the adults , we are in Disney World and we know we are all in this together, but remember ,what a magical place it is...
Read moreVisited Heavenly Ski Resort in February 2020 and after skiing in the morning I tried the Mountain Roller Coaster. It is a little over 1/2 mile in length with a lot of twists and turns. It was a lot of fun but not really a stomach churning thrill ride. You sit in individual cars and can control the speed with a lever. The views were great at the top and this would be fun for all ages. It is a bit expensive but I think worth it. If you plan on riding more than once buying an all day unlimited pass is a better economic option. Food and beverages are available for purchase at a number of spots near...
