Other than dealing with a rude old lady who was angry I was sitting in "her" seats - there is no assigned seating -I was there early and picked a comfy old chair, front and center, and this woman did everything in her power to make me uncomfortable, and to tell everyone the seats were hers because she sits there every week. I adjusted my chair when she continuously crowded into me, and was outright nasty when I said I didn't care to move down to accommodate her friend who arrived late. I pointed out I was there early and chose an empty seat that worked for me. Had she said "please" I might have reacted differently. I love this auction, and always spend a decent amount when I go, but the other people that go regularly take away from the experience. Today I got "the treatment", but I've witnessed poor treatment by attendees toward Asian and Mexican bidders. They don't like that they bid high on things like eggs and chickens, then take all available items. (I'm sure the people who supplied the items for bid love these folks when they're getting top dollar for their goods!) Once I stepped up to defend a middle eastern family from an extremely rude vendor outside. He was reported, and to the auctions credit, enough people notified them of the situation, they took action, and he wasn't permitted to come back.    Read moreHad been meaning to check out their Monday Farmer's market/ flea market and so glad we did. It was early March so their was only about ten or fifteen vendors but there was a wide selection of items. One vendor had fruit and veggies as well as farm eggs, homemade bread and jam. Several vendors had tools. There was military memorabilia, DVDs, a vendor with pet food, lots of household good stuff. What you would expect at a flea market. Everyone was very nice.
