This was our first time visiting this farm which might be my last for apple picking. While the apples on the trees are abundant and fresh, there were more apples under the trees that were old and had a weird smell.
As for variety, there were very repetitive but fresh nonetheless. From what I remember there were gala, cortland and ever-crisp, plus a few others.
The space of great for kids for running and playing throughout but that was it. There was were no attractions for kids other than pumpkins, a hay ride or something of that sort would have been great.
The farm store on the other hand was affordable with an array of items such as jams, preserves, rubs, cheeses, different sizes of bottles cider as well as cider by the cup for $1.
As for the bakery, the smell of apple cider donuts was not present but there were both sugar coated and plain apple cider donuts for sale. There were also pies and other pastries on display.
The highlight of the farm store was the sweet corn. If you buy one you will regret it so make sure grab 6 or 12.
Overall, the visit was enjoyable as we made our own fun. The walking path is very rocky and not suitable for the disabled, we all tripped a few times.
Parking is plenty and easy to find. Apples are $15...
Read moreI would like to sincerely thank these two gentlemen who helped to take care of my dog so that I could go into the orchard for pick your own apples. They made sure he was entertained, having fun, and even gave him water. Everyone on the farm was extremely kind, and loving toward my dog. The manager even gave my dog a little ice cream and whipped cream as a treat! The pick your own orchard has a wide variety of apples, as well as many options for autumnal culinary creations. The farm makes their own lines of jams, pies, apple cider, donuts, and much more. My top picks in dare I say, the entire Northeast, are their honey crisp applesauce, gala apple cider, no sugar added apple pie; and they have the best apple cider donuts I’ve ever had. Last year I got the blackberry syrup which was also a smash hit. I had a top notch experience and am very grateful for all of the employees who made...
Read moreThis is a great place to pick apples from year to year. We usually come here at least 2 times a year during their apple season. We pick our own apples which is fun to do. As the season moves forward, they add varieties to which apples can be picked so if you like certain kinds you can check out their website or Facebook page for the latest updates. Due to the amount of apples that we pick, they usually last us until Thanksgiving. The apples are plentiful and delicious. They have picked apples in their store along with other...
