Had a fantastic time doing the trail ride, it had been years since either of us had been in the saddle but David made us feel perfectly at ease. Talked us through a basic ride and told us all about the area. It was great to learn some of the history of the area around Lake Grapevine while riding through it.

David was very responsive from the moment we contacted him to book, and provided easy and clear instructions on how to reach the property. Everything was ready on-time and the weather was perfect.

WidowMaker Trail Rides is by far the best Trail Ride company in all of TX. 👌🏽 David; the owner & guide, is so professional & knowledgeable, and offers up all his expertise on how to ride the beautiful horses in a safe and secure manner. He is patient, and continuously humorous 😅 There is no hurry to the ride, which made it exceptionally enjoyable. The small group of 6 people was very conducive to a personalized experience. David interacted & paid close attention to All of the riders & their horse, giving guidance the whole way. The terrain combines wooded areas and lake shores into a rustic, picturesque place. Awesome experience for a group of five first time riders. David was very responsive once I dropped him a text for reservation and amazing in his explanation of ‘Horse communication 101’ right before the ride :)

For anyone planning for a ride, here are some details that might help: David only does one two-hour ride a day with a group of max six people Ride is almost two hours over flat and slightly hilly terrain helmets are available if needed restroom is also available on request before and after the ride only riders above 12 years of age and max weight of ~250 pounds payment can be made after the ride with cash or credit card.
