A few years ago I had issues with the heated sidewalk at my business. When the place was built, the original installer(private subcontractor not Jay Gill) did a horrible job configuring the radiant floor heat and sidewalk heater control. That original installer did not install the required outdoor sensors, did not even connect the control unit to the boiler control! Plus many other things. After my heated sidewalk froze up and busted, I paid dearly to have it replaced. After flushing and replacing the lines with antifreeze, the sidewalk was still not working as it should. Here to find out, the private subcontractor did not install a lot of things correctly. I do know a little bit about HVAC (enough to be dangerous which makes certified techs cringe to hear) but I am not great with electrical configuration. I called Jay Gill plumbing and they arrived promptly, recognized the horrible installation job of the private subcontractor, and very quickly fixed the issues. Had my seasonal cabin looked at to convert to heating year round. Never received an estimate. Called a few times after no response. They apologized and said they had been busy. Called again about a month later. I told them that if they weren’t interested, to let me know, so I could move on. Called me back awhile later to tell me that they were definitely interested. Never heard back.This went on on for approximately 3-4 months. Had a different hvac guy come out and had an estimate in two days. Not very professional on Jay Gills plumbing part.
