Truck noise! I live near this business and the approach road to this business is a 25mph road. Trucks hauling use loud engine brakes as they slow to the entrance. This noise happens at all hours of the day.

About one year ago, I called to ask the manager to tell drivers not to use engine brakes as a courtesy to those living nearby. Some people work nights and try to sleep during the day. He said he would but I have observed no changes in behavior.

Even truck-heavy towns such as nearby Belle Fourche have a engine-braking ordinance in place to keep the peace for their residents. Unfortunately, this company will not take it up on themselves to put such a measure in place.

SFP is clearly a benefit to this community, providing jobs and great resources to builders in this area. It's a shame the management will not implement a simple, respectful measure prohibiting their delivery trucks from using compression braking.

Such a measure costs literally nothing to implement, will have no deleterious effect on business operations, and will increase community respect. 1-star until this problem...

Noisy! Trucks using compression brakes (Jake braking) at all hours of the day! The speed limit is 25 on the approach road and there is no reason to use such a noisy method for braking at 5am. A case could be made for daylight hours, but it's just inconsiderate and unnecessary. A phone conversation with them did not yield results.
