City of Spencer — Local services in Spencer

The worst city hall!!!!! Be careful if you move to Spencer!!! Be aware of this area !!!! We have pay our deposit for water services and we have not received our trashbin (waste container) it’s been 13 days since I pay and guess what!!! they told me we have to pay more to get our trashbin because they we’re delivery which we never received them !!!!!!! This place is a joke!!!!! They all want is money … if I knew Spencer was corrected I wouldn’t buy a house on...

I have had to call the city 3 times about my sewer line backing up and everytime the women in the office are very nice and the crew usually arrives within 2 hours and always take care of the backup. I know the city has a big problem with the sewer system and it likely needs to be replaced but unfortunately the city has little to no money so I doubt it will be replaced anytime soon but I really appreciate the City of Spencer staff for their politeness hard...

I love Spencer, Other than the lack of code enforcement follow through! It is insane. Trash all over yards high grass. Cars sitting on the ground for months/years. How about fines and the city cleans it up and charge them 🤔 put a leans on the home.

Then the city itself is in violation for trees in roadways as well as high grass on city easements ditches etc. The city can do better....
