It was a pretty good show, and i recommend it for any age. This circus appeared in my local fairgrounds rental building so it was a little cramped for seating. Extra guests were coming in and had to sit on the floor and the ring master apologized for the show starting late because of the long line of people coming in. The show featured comedic clowns throughout which I did enjoy. There were arial rope climbing performances which were amazing. The 3 motorcycles in the spherical cage was awesome. The was several balancing, juggling and bike/unicycle riding acts, which were all flawless. There was a part where 5 horses were made to run in circles and then put their feet on a stand at the end of that act. I did not enjoy that act, as the horses seemed tired and very afraid of the woman commanding them and her whip. The same horses were used before the show and also at half-time to give rides to children in circles. There was actually a few sign-holding protesters on the street near the parking entrance complaining about Loomis animal mistreatment. A guest appearance by The Chicago Boys acrobatics team seemed to be the best part of the show. They were amazing and previously featured on America Got Talent. Near the end of the show was an act with 2 elephants with a performer riding one, set to music and was very nice. These elephants seemed to be happy and treated well. Overall i enjoyed this Loomis Bros Circus show with exception to the horse act. There was popcorn, cotton candy, drinks, balloons, and light up toys available during the show. Infrared anti-photography lights were used during most...
Read moreWONDERFUL show. A must-see! I bought a ticket thinking "Why not support a small family circus?" Little did I know this show is PRODUCTION! The quality of the music, performers, comedy, lighting, everything is TOP NOTCH. This is a show for anyone who loves joy.
P.S. Activists do not love joy. They want everyone to be as miserable as they are. The animals of the cast are all well cared for and in top form. From the ponies I have taken the liberty of dubbing "The Loomis-zaners", to the crown jewel of any circus; the elephants. What mindless "activists" ignore is that the reason WHY people care about tigers & elephants instead of say coatimundis & servals is because the former animals are used in the circus. Without a lifetime of being entertained by them, no affinity is formed and no one cares to support conservation efforts (seriously, do you even know what a coatimundi is? Thought not). Contrary to trendy opinion zoos and circuses are not terrible institutions or "slavery" (wish these "activists" cared about humans as much as they pretend to care about animals) but one of the most powerful contributors to conservation efforts. They help people build love for animals and thereby spur public support to help them. Anyhoo, PSA aside, the Loomis Brothers show is a worthy successor that other famed fraternal circus. It deserves five shimmering stars and a heartfelt thank you for the incredible show they work so hard to produce. Well done and keep up the good work! This show is a MUST-SEE if it comes...
Read moreIf I could give it a 0 star I would. This was a very poor show to say the least. I mean geeze. My expectations weren’t high either. I had 4 children with me and they were all unimpressed and ready to go. I knew it was a smaller show but my gosh. 1st off unless you are sitting dead center with your little ones you can forget clearly seeing what’s going on at the opposite end. Yes the kids entry was free to get in but the price for everything else was crazy. A lemonade filled to the top with ice $10. $5 ok but $10. It was nothing but ice and they only offered 1size.🤣 . Then the intermission activities. $8 to jump for about 3 mins in a bounce house. Another $8 to use the blow up slide for 3 mins. Like be for real. But this is what really cracked me up it was $20 to take a picture with the elephant ON YOUR OWN PHONE. No print with the circus logo or nothing. Just charging us to take a picture with our own phone with up to 4 people. I don’t mind spending money on entertainment but this was so scammy man 🤣🤣. I was so ready to take a picture with the elephant thinking I was gonna get a take home copy but no we had to hand over our phone to get the picture taken. They need to revamp. Get better talent, a better setup and more realistic pricing on certain things. Atleast have a photographer to send you a digital copy of the pictures you take with the circus logo. All of the kids around us were not paying attention they were crying, playing and dirt and asking can they leave. I’ll stick to Barnum...
