Bordine's of Clarkston — Local services in Springfield Charter Township

I have shopped at the Clarkston Bordines for the past five years. They usually have exactly what I want and the staff working the floor and outside garden/tree/ shrub areas are friendly, knowledgeable and professional! Unfortunately the cashiers and those that assist them quite often are rude and careless with the plants that I have spent time carefully choosing! And I leave the store angry! and arrive home with plants with broken stems from their carelessness. I am willing to spend extra for their high quality plants but I have to say after my last experience I will be driving the extra distance to Wojos or Home Depot. So...

I recently pruchased a tree from Bordines for a big landscaping project we were doing at home. We were told we could pick it up when we were ready for it (weeks from then). This past weekend we went to pick it up and purchase the rest of the plants we needed. No tree- no record of the tree (except the receipt I brought) and no apology. We were told- we had two choices - pick out another, or get a refund. I took the refund and the rest of my purchases to Wojo's in Ortonviille (highly recommend them). The letter emailed to Bodines complaining to corporate was never responded to. Bordines evidently does not need...

This place is lovely. I used to come here with my mother as a child and I still come here as an adult. They have a very large selection of plants throughout the interior and exterior, ranging from large trees to small succulents.
