Dollar General — Local services in Springfield

I cannot even begin to describe how unsightly this Dollar General is. We were traveling through the area and wanted some cold foods to put in our coolers and everything was either broken, out of stock, or you had to cut / open the packaging yourself to get what you wanted. While waiting in the self checkout line, a staff member texting came up and I asked her if she was going to ring people up. She said she /can/ but that the machine takes cash or card. Even though that didn't really answer my question. I just turn and look at the line behind me and then back at her and she sighed and took me at a register. The entire time ringing me up, she kept her phone in her other hand waiting for a text or something. Obviously something more important than work. Went here last nite and I’ve only been in a handful of times as I don’t live In spfld and as soon as we walked in all we could smell thru the whole store was trash or like septic . It was nasty and other customers could smell it also . Also every time I have come in here you can’t get to most of the shelves because the aisles are full of the big cart things full of stuff that needs to be put away . And one of the carts had cold food , or was cold at one time . I would not buy your cold food from this store just an FYI and j hope people read these ! I love DG! I can go there and grab all the essentials for a bargain price and use my weekly coupon to get $5 off when I spend $25 (which I always do!).
