IGA — Local services in St. Albans

The second star is only because the deli food is pretty good. I’m all for supporting local, but this store is too much. The owner of IGA also owns the building that is leased to Dollar General, next door. The owner of the building put it in the lease that DG can’t accept EBT cards because he owns the grocery store next door and wants to capitalize on that. Then, he jacks the prices up far beyond the prices at DG and Kroger. Great local mom-and-pop type of neighborhood grocery store. Everything is always well prepared in the back, and the variety of freshly made food is always nice. Meatloaf, Steaks, Spaghetti, Chicken, is all prepared. You can just throw it in the microwave, and dinner is served.
