Montanaro Cakery & Macarons — Restaurant in St. Albans

I live several hours away so I finally made it in a few weeks ago while I was visiting relatives. I ordered several different macaroons, pepperoni rolls, chocolate mini bunt cakes with the white squiggly on top and 2 chocolate chip cookies with buttercream in the middle rolled in sprinkles. Everything was EXCEPTIONAL!! The best macaroons I have ever had. The mini bunt cakes were so moist, pepperoni rolls were fresh and delicious. Prices were reasonable. Service was on point, bakery was neat and clean and the owners, Jacob and Greg were gracious hosts. The food was so good that I was wanting more by the time I traveled back home to Pocahontas County. Oh my,OH MY GOODNESS, Let me tell you about my experience here at the luscious Montanaro Cakery! I got a Cherry 🍒 cheesecake and Caramel English Toffee Scone and I had to try a piece of both and let me say they are the ABSOLUTE best I have ever had the luxury of eating! I also got a lemon 🍋 blueberry mini bundt cake Oh my word ,I wish I had got at least a dozen of those also I got a pepperoni roll hot out of the oven ,it almost didn't make it home . And to come to find out when I got to the store ,Jacob, one of owners was someone I had the pleasure of meeting at a store previously where he worked! I ordered a custom cake for my husbands birthday. The person I talked to did a very thorough consultation and ensured everything was to my liking. They were also very friendly and personable. The cake itself was fantastic. I ordered a chocolate cake with peanut butter filling and chocolate buttercream, and it was perfect. The cake was perfectly moist, and the buttercream was light, fluffy, and well-balanced.
