I would give negative 10 stars if I could. Don't let Gan talk you into any heart maze surgery, or any procedure. Go to Stanford and don't let him destroy your family. Gan talked my 69 year old mother into it and she died from complications following the surgery at 69. My mom told me she was having the surgery at 69 so she could live into her 80's or 90's. I begged her not to do it but she said Gan was amazing, and that it would be ok, less than 1% chance of dying, I looked at the brochure he gave her that said that and still have it. Now she's gone. She's died from complications from the surgery Gan did. I can't believe Gan Dunnington still has his medical license. I remember visiting my mom at St. Helena Hospital the day after the surgery and she was crying saying that she made a mistake, that it hurt so bad and she wished she never did it. Gan had told her it would be minimally evasive, which she found out was a total lie. She was in massive pain after the surgery, had a fever and Gan told her that was part of the healing process, a total lie. I could tell the nurse knew something was massively wrong as when I asked her why my mom was in so much pain she said she had given her a ton of pain helping (my mom would rarely take a Tylenol and had no tolerance to pain medication so it was unusual), and the nurse didn't a have a good answer but she looked as if she had seen a ghost - it was my mom about to pass away early and I didn't know it. Gan told my mom she had less than 1% chance of dying he said, now she's gone leaving a huge gap in our family, six grandchildren that don't have an amazing grandmother any more. Our family will never be the same. Our medical system is broken and Gan is the reason. Profits over peoples lives, unbelievable. You killed my mom and you don't even care "I don't know that I did anything wrong" - Gan - she's dead because of your botched surgery - how do you live with yourself? Hopefully I save someone by posting this as St. Helena Hospital wants to just sweep it under the rug. Insult to injury was saying it would cost us $15k for an autopsy which my mom wouldn't have wanted which is apparently outrageous and likely to try to get us to not do it and just cover this up not that money was a factor but wow. Gan is truly a terrible human being, they should take his medical license and put him...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe staff at the Heart and Vascular wing of the hospital are hands-down some of the best people I have encountered in healthcare. They have been doing an amazing job taking care of my Mom for a couple of days. I spent the night next to her last night in the hospital. After they got my Mom settled and comfortable, they went above and beyond to make sure I was also comfortable. I wished I could remember their names better, I was operating on very little sleep when introduced. Nina and Denise are some of the sweetest and most caring nurses. And a gentleman nurse (frustratingly, cannot remember his name) came in and literally tucked me in the recliner when I had fallen asleep. He placed a pillow beneath my head, kicked the recliner into a flat position, and spread a sheet and blanket out on top. He even offered to warm up the blanket. I have never been treated better anywhere by anyone. I slept really well for trying to sleep in a recliner in a hospital room. These folks should really be commended for their kindness not only for the patients, but their families. They really seem to understand the importance of caring for the family unit as a whole to help heal everyone. Job very well done, and I can't say enough nice things!
I also have to point out that we had a slightly negative experience concerning waiting on a procedure, but it was ultimately turned into a positive. We dealt with frustrations due to my Mom's procedure being delayed, but they assured us that was because dire emergency procedures (lifesaving) were required for other patients that caused hers to be pushed back. We understand this is beyond their control, and they were very patient when we expressed frustration and got answers for us right away. They also explained there was a team of cardiologists that researched my Mom's case to determine the best approach to help her condition, rather than go in and perform a procedure needlessly. They were very thorough with the explanations, and we left without any doubts and trusting they were handling everything effectively. If I could give 10 stars instead of 5, I would!

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI received truly first class service as far as the procedure; the endoscopy. I do have a problem with feeling gas lit with respect to sharing my personal symptoms. Iām more interested in the cause, so I can address the issue. I am a relatively healthy and educated individual who is pro active about my health. Pre and post procedure lack consultation. Pre COVID I was never in a doctors office for anything other than an ongoing rx for asthma. Post COVID I have seen at least a dozen professionals who continue to tell me Iām simply constipated, even if this were the case, which is highly unlikely since I am passing six inch floating stools multiple times a day, eat well (organic, pro biotic and non gmo foods and drink plenty of filtered water; which I donāt believe any of my doctors have ever inquired about, what is the sudden CAUSE?! ). I passed out, deficated myself and was transported a year and a half ago. I continue to suffer with either a muscle or organ contraction in my upper right quadrant, that is intermittent but does not show up on any of the very e pensive tests that keep being ordered and performed, without diagnosis or remedy. I promise you I do not enjoy being sick and this is not psychosomatic. Patients are not googling symptoms, nor do they expect their doctors to simply be treating symptoms. I am suffering and I am the expert when it comes to my body. It seems extremely suspect to me that after encountering a virus that was never encountered before and vaccines that were not only experimental but mix and match that not a single doctor, let alone specialist even considers there might be something going on that they know nothing about. Needless to say Iām still sick. And Iām extremely...
