I had, what I felt, was complicated install for my RV. New head unit with mic, 4 speakers, antenna for GPS, USB on dash ports, and a dash cam. To top it off, I wanted to retain the same functionally of the RV infotainment system. Meaning it needed to play the tv audio overhead in the back, needed to swap between the front and outside speakers with a flip of a switch, play DVDs, and of course, play audio. I bought all the equipment myself. I arrived early for my 9am install on a Saturday and the place was already jumping. I explained what I needed and the installer took it back. Midway through the install, when they got to the 5 1/4s in the back of the RV, they found a brace went over the space where the rear speakers were attached to the roof. So they had to build rings to get clearance. My install was around 3 hours and then they brought it out front. With the exception of the tv audio, everything worked great. Julio, the installer, took it back, fixed it, and had it ready in 10 minutes. He explained how things worked and went over every point of the install. Everything was buttoned up exactly as if it was from the factory. You couldn't tell there was an install. I am extremely happy with Eastcoast Motorsports and I highly recommend them. I drove from Jacksonville to visit them and they provided service at a great price. They listened to what I wanted, did what I expected, kept me in the loop of the install, and gave me timely updates of the work. I spent a while in their store and whenever I do that, I like to just observe how they treat people. A number of people called, came in, and stopped by while I was there and they were all treated with the utmost respect. A fellow customer had brought their car in after a bad install at another shop and ECM didn't bash them, complain, talk down about the other company- they formulated a plan, did it, and made their customer happy. That is a great sign of a company. They have certainly won my business and I will be back soon to have a powered sub installed under the seat. If you are researching a place to get a lift, window tint, or an audio install, this should be your number one choice. They really deserve 6 stars.
Follow up- I needed more bass. So I got a powered sub and went back. Julio, my installer, asked a few questions and took it back. A few hours later, it was installed, he showed me how it was ran, and it worked great. Two trips, two awesome...
Read moreAvoid this place at all cost!! Husband and wife duo, but shady business is the only business they have going on at their shop. If I could leave zero stars, I would. This has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with any business. I’m in a wheelchair, so getting around is not easy for me, yet this shop made me drive back and forth from Juli to Kingsland four times just to get my setup completed.
My first appointment was at 1:00 PM, and I had to start getting ready hours in advance because of the extra effort it takes me to get in and out of my truck. I was there until after closing, only for them to tell me they weren’t finished and that I’d have to come back. I didn’t even make it five minutes up the road before my speakers cut out. When I called, they blamed me, saying I had blown a speaker—only to later find out it was their faulty remote wire.
On top of that, they sold me overpriced RCA cables that didn’t work, which caused me to return my original amps at my own expense—only for them to push me into buying their amps at inflated prices. Even after all that, the issue turned out to be their cables. They kept me waiting for hours, and every time I asked for an update, I got the same runaround: “We’re working as fast as we can.” But they weren’t.
They also cut power to my charging ports, removed my 12V adapter, and sloppily super-glued a USB port in its place, which now has glue running down my console. To top it off, they mounted my amp so poorly that it fell off before I even made it home.
The owner is cocky, rude, and completely unprofessional, as is his wife. They knew how much trouble this whole process had been for me, yet they never apologized or tried to make things right. They just kept selling me more stuff I didn’t need while screwing up the job at every turn.
I don’t know how they have all these five-star reviews, but if you actually know anything about car audio, do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere. They fooled me once—they won’t...
Read moreA year ago I purchased 2 flip down DVD players along with a gps/CD/DVD player with built in bluetooth and back up camera and had it installed in my van. Over the course of the year I've shown up to Eastcoast Motorsports normally because of user error (for example my car battery died and a switch flipped to where the units wouldn't talk). They are super friendly and A+ when it comes to customer support. Well my head units DVD player quit reading DVDs (still played CDs no problem) and there's no way my 3 year old will wear head phones (wouldn't play through speakers since head unit wasn't playing DVDs) to watch on the drop down. Also my phone decided it no longer wanted to connect with the bluetooth on the head unit. On Monday July 3, 2017 when my husband took the van to Eastcoast (Josh) then told him they're gonna go ahead and replace the head unit with a newer model. Before leaving my husband told them if they run across the remote for the unit to give us a call so we could purchase it. They just moved into the new building July 1st so they were still unpacking and that wasnt the easiest thing to find. On July 5th Chuck gave me a call letting me know he found it and even offered to mail it because he knew I was going out of town. But like I normally do if I have a question or a concern, I popped up with my user error (well i guess technically a "my phone doesnt like me and wants to be upgraded error" lol) but they helped me like they always do. Making sure that everything worked properly. I also purchased the remote that I went up there for. Chuck and everyone at Eastcoast motorsports goes above and beyond for their customers. I highly...
