Gibbs Chophouse — Local services in Stanton

A couple of seniors traveling from Lake of the Ozarks Missouri to Omaha for Berkshire Hathaway weekend overnighted in Stanton at the Stanton Inn, a very small motel, but very hospitable lodging. Proprietor recommended Gibbs Chophouse on a Thursday night. We were not disappointed. The service was impeccable. I had th 97,806 65porkchop on sweet potato puree and Bourbon glase. My wife had huge tasty pork tenderloin sandwich. We both had Dorothy Lynch salad dressing. Yumm. The one extra ordinary situation for us ea I left my credit card at Gibbs. Then extra morning I realized my missing card. Since the restaurant was closed until 5:00 on Friday I called and left a voice message about leaving the card and then followed up with another phone call later that day. The very polite person that took my second call acknowledged that they had my card. I requested them to mail it to me and gave my address. Praise the Lord I received it several days later. I am so grateful for the managers and staff of this place to care enough for wayward travelers through their humble community to take the time...

I've been to Gibbs a couple of times. Every time the food has been pretty darn good. I haven't had anything blow my mind but I definitely don't have any complaints. Today I was there with a buddy of mine and I ordered the omelette. But I didn't want to pick from their recipes. I wanted everything. Onions, peppers, mushrooms, tomatoes, cheese, bacon, sausage, and ham. It was probably in my top five omelettes ever. Very friendly staff! We were seated right away, and the waitress delivered menus shortly after. We ordered two appetizers, which were both excellent, and the sides that came with our meals were terrific as well. My only disappointment was that the cook needed to cook my steak correctly.
