I lost my Mother recently, which was tragic and tough to process initially. However, the Lord blessed us with Mr. Lovett to take care of her funeral services at Matthew H. Lovett & Sons Funeral Home, LLC. To start, Mr. Lovett is extremely professional and exceptionally humble, not to mention just an all around great man. He charged us a fraction of the costs of the competitors in the area and went way above and beyond the services the competitors were offering. For example, he allowed us to hold our funeral service at his beautiful funeral home right outside town for no extra cost, and he offered it for as long as we liked. Additionally, he included 2 copies of the death certificate for no extra charge where the competitors were charging $20 for the first and $5 per additional copies. And I haven’t even begun to mention the patience and care he put into every detail of the process to make it not just a beautiful service to honor my Mother, but also a memorable experience for the family who attended. He even included a complimentary portrait of Mother on canvas. The entire day was special thanks to Mr. Lovett, and because he was so generous and his services were so affordable I was able to use the savings to make sure it was as beautiful as my Mother deserved it to be. My son was suddenly and tragically taken away from us on 08/20/2023. A couple of days later, I made the decision to reach out to Matt in hopes that he would handle the final care for my baby here on earth. He accepted, and I feel it was definitely the best decision for me and my family. Matthew and his staff handled everything with care and compassion from start to finish and even after. He made us feel like “FAMILY” vs. just a client paying for services. He provided his knowledge and support no matter the hour that it was needed in and that made the process so much easier and the load a little lighter to carry during this time. My siblings and I lost our father on January 12, 2024. I reached out to Mr. Lovett because my father lived in Statesboro. The first conversation lasted about 10 minutes and we knew that this is who we wanted to take care of our father's arrangements. Mr. Lovett was very compassionate and very welcoming to our family, giving us time to grieve before discussing any business. We appreciate how dedicated, comforting and accommodating him and his staff was with us in our time of sorrow. Under his direction, we didn't have to worry about anything.
