Edited review: I’m not surprised by your response and lack of professionalism overall after my interaction with your “company” today. I actually shared this experience with the principal already without even leaving your parking lot today via email. I feel like he should know the type of terrible business his school spirit vendor is. My review of your company does not go against any type of conduct at my childrens’ school…LOL. You actually have many 1 star reviews mentioning your poor product quality, lack of professionalism, and disorganization. In response to your response…I did not order from you 3 times. I ordered from you once and placed a second order shortly after and picked both orders up at once last Wednesday. It’s my first and last time ordering with you guys. Nonetheless, I washed all of the products prior to my children wearing them. I noticed a small tear in the front of my child’s sweatshirt, I called and spoke to Lesley. I told her I do not know if there could have been a snag in the sweatshirt that could have been made worse in my speed queen washing machine. I told her l have no idea what happened but did not expect a SWEATSHIRT to develop a hole after one wash. I have never seen a garment do that before. She said to come in and she could either patch it up or swap it out for something else. I came in today and described in detail how the situation was handled. I did not treat your employee with disrespect and we both know that. Your claim that I treated an employee poorly and “called them stupid,” is pure fabrication and SLANDER. You are a LIAR. I will be in tomorrow to pick up my child’s sweatshirt that I paid for and will take it to my seamstress to patch up. I will find a way to order the spirit wear through a company that deserves business and clientele.
Our kids’ school uses this company for spirit wear. It’s expensive, low quality and an absolute rip-off. Spent 42 bucks on multiple “sweatshirts” that felt as thin as knit t-shirts. After one week, a tiny hole formed in one of these so-called “sweatshirts.” I called and was told they could probably “patch it up or give me a discount toward a new sweatshirt.” Drove up there and Leslie said there was no way this shirt was given to me with any small tear and she could not patch it. She was mumbling incoherently about calling the company. She was very scattered walking around with her shoes untied and pacing around the store without directly facing me to communicate. After realizing I was not getting anywhere near resolving this, I just told them I would like to order another sweatshirt and would just pay for it. She said they only create orders on Monday. Made no intent of making the situation right. As a small business owner, I too make mistakes, but because my customers are quite literally paying my bills, I go above and beyond to make things right. Offering replacements for poor quality items that one sells (especially in a reasonable time frame which in my case was 7 days) is the cost of doing business.
Here’s an example of good customer service… 1.) stopping and greeting anyone who walks in your door 2.) stopping and listening to a customer with an issue 3.) offering a logical, well-thought solution 4.) reassuring your customer you will make it right and giving an appropriate time line.
These people are probably making an absolute killing selling low quality products for way more than they are worth. Poor business practice and I wish the school had another option for...
Read moreI would give Game Brand Detroit (Gbrand) ZERO stars if I could. Brian and Leslie Matelic, the owners, have the worst customer service I have ever seen.
See the color variations in products (see photos), the two mock-ups of the sublimation hoodies...and the products that we received. The colors are completely botched. The colors expected are not the colors on the products we received. I spent $140 on two hoodies for my 2 sons only to get completely botched colors that are no where near what was on their website or what we were promised!
When we asked for them to correct the error (on just 4 hoodies that were ordered by parents), they refused to make this right. Instead, they threatened one of our parents and his family.
A complete embarrassment of a company. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY with your apparel. They will screw up the colors and not correct mistakes.
The owner can spin this any way they want to...they tried to give us $20 off a $68 custom hoodie and make us order their botched product again. The mistake was theirs. And they failed to own it. Ripping our families off is...
