Kroger — Local services in Sterling

Kroger in general has good quality and great prices I give them 5 stars. The Kroger's I shop at gets 2 stars because of being very unorganized hard to find items even employee's don't know where things are at. I spend more time looking for items I can't find and asking employee's. I'm told it's in isle 4 I look not there ask another employee isle 10 look there nope ask again isle 2 I walked there nope ask again isle 6 finialy find it this happened with 3 items today. Can of nuts took 3 attempt to locate then can hash took 4 attempts and coconut milk took 2.. items are placed in locations that make no sense almost like where ever there is room that's where they stick it. Other day went to buy chicken that was on sale 1.89 lb it wasn't by all the other chicken and meat so I figured must be sold out they only had $8 lb organic good thing I also needed butter because all the sale chicken was in a cooler on other side of the store in the dairy section. So frustrating I opt to shop Aldi and Hy-Vee most times even though Kroger is better my store is poorly run...

Was in town on a job working, thought I'd hit Kroger and grab some essentials and lunch for the guys. Got to checkout and machine wouldn't let me bypass pin and use card as credit. I've never had this problem. I've shopped there before. Seriously upset, I wasted my time doing my shopping and then had to run all the way over to Walmart to get what I already had. Other times the place is so packed with people everywhere and it's an older store. Will never be going back there I'll go to county market if I'm in sterling or Walmart if I have to like I did today as I had to get pet items that the other store didn't carry. Very very upsetting. I've never had to have my pin for my card. I have a medical reason why I can't remember it and they couldn't...

This store has Thee best, friendliest staff of any store! Our local Kroger here in Sterling, Illinois anyway. The store is very small and could really stand to be updated and expanded to match the other Krogers though, which would give it a Larger, or even Two door entry ways like the other Krogers... that and the lack of staff which leads to unannounced, early closings that are Not posted on the website or Google so that we all don't waste our time and gas traveling to a store thats closed when it shouldn't be.
