The grounds are well maintained and clean, that's it. Some of the staff were nice, while some seemed like you were bothering them if u asked a question, and the guides were very condescending and would raise their voice at the kids if they would talk. The place doesn't feel safe at all it's like Freddy Krugers lair. What u see on the website is not what you get. Little did I know it would be little cabins in the woods with barely any heat. The heat is controlled by the attached cabin and if that party thinks they are too toasty and turned the heat down, you will freeze and catch frostbite. And they fail to tell you ahead of time there is absolutely NO INTERNET SERVICE AVAILABLE in these cabins you have to walk 8 minutes to the main dining area to pick up the open spotty wifi. The place is super creepy at night all sorts of weird noises, there is no covering on none of the many windows so anyone can see inside the cabin. Worst of all the doors don't have locks. The food taste like Costco frozen goods they only offered coffee or lipton tea bag no juice whatsoever. The shower in the cabin needs some TLC, gross old plastic shower curtain flowing and touching you while you shower. It needs to be changed each time the room is vacated and the shower floor needs...
Read moreNice camp if you know what you are getting, very large with lots of activities.
Be aware that there are 2 types of cabins- winterized and non-winterized. Since we went in May, we had the regular cabins which werenât insulated and didnât have electricity (during the rainy weekend we had, the cabins were very dark, cold and some people had leaks in the roof). Cold air was coming in from all the gaps in the wooden slats and meshed windows. The website should include photos of these cabins as well as the nicer ones so people can come prepared. My main complaint for the camp is our cabin wasnât clean, cobwebs and pebbles everywhere and old wrappers and acorns next to the beds and in the shelves (not to mention the graffiti on every single wooden surface). I saw one picture on their website (of the winterized cabin) and thought thatâs how theyâd all be. Bathroom was not attached either, and the separate bathhouse was also not insulated (mesh over the large openings, fine for hot summer months, not so much for rainy spring) Also, the condition of their table tennis table in the lodge is terrible, itâs warped and has a big crack. Positives- friendly and helpful staff, kids and adults all enjoyed the activities we...
Read moreWe had lots of fun at the family camp. Weâve been here for a couple of times and will keep on coming. It is very well organized with lots of options for activities thatâs great for young kids and older ones, or even adults. The cabins are very warm in winter, super clean and spacious for a family. We didnât expect that we were going to have such a great experience and learn about nature in a cold weekend in January! What really moved us is how professional, friendly and accommodating the staffs are. Itâs a really small group size for the weekend we were there but they made it super special! A special shout out to Brendan and Tara who helped us plan our day and fit in all the activities we wanted to do. Taught the kids(and us) so much from how to make a fire by friction, to cross country ski, to rock climbing, to make a mask, to feed the animals, to ice fishing, to properly make a sâmore! Brendon never miss an opportunity to help us learn more about nature which makes the weekend even more rewarding! We loved it so much and canât...
