Bustani Plant Farm — Local services in Stillwater

This was my first time stopping into this nursery, even though I’ve lived in the area for a few years—and I’m so glad I finally did! I was immediately blown away by the stunning selection of healthy, thriving plants, all clearly well-adjusted to Oklahoma weather.

I’ve had mixed experiences with other nurseries around here, especially when it comes to plants being mislabeled for full sun when they really can’t handle our Oklahoma heat. That was not the case here. Every plant was accurately labeled with proper care and sunlight conditions specific to our region, which gave me confidence in what I was buying.

I purchased a modest amount to test things out, expecting the usual transplant shock for a few days. To my surprise, the plants didn’t skip a beat. They took to the soil right away and have absolutely thrived—even with all the recent rain and unpredictable weather. Many are already blooming again, just as the staff said they would.

I was out scouting for new plants for our students, I drove from Okmulgee. I must say I was in a terrible time crunch, but this plant farm is amazing! They had an incredible selection of Oklahoma native perennials even medicinal ones and that was just outside. I only got to row 3 of the isles, due to a previous engagement. The best! For over a decade I have been buying plants for hummingbirds and butterflies from Bustani. Their plants are in my garden, around the deck and in hanging baskets.
