Marina Center — Local services in Stockton

This market has a lot to offer. It has a very nice produce section. I like that things are easy to find. Some of those chain supermarkets spread stuff out in multiple areas. I know why they do it (so u will be more likely to impulse buy) but I do not like this as it makes my old tired bones worn out trying to find a few things. . Marina market has items where you expect to see them. They have a very nice clearance area too! The employees are always respectful and helpful. I actually live closer to 2 of those big chain grocery stores but I find myself driving an extra few minutes just to come here. Prices like everywhere are high but not across the board. I think overall they might average out better. But then again I don't eat my friends.. I mean animals so that might be way different from my veggies & greek yogurt. One more thing. The other part of shopping here is it is a normal sized grocery store. Yet they have a bakery/deli and everything else. In fact they carry some items those other 2 stores have stopped selling. I still get everything I need but it takes me half the time because I am not walking all over to get 2 separate vegetarian items. I really really appreciate this. If you know,you know. Just off of Ben Holt and to the left off of the I-5 is Marina West and Lincoln Village West and our little Marina Village is our neighborhood go to. Marina Market specifically is the anchor store. Yeah they're priced a little higher buy its convenient and quick. It's like "Cheers," The staff remembers you,they are super friendly and they open check out lanes when it's busy. They have an awesome little bakery and deli counter. Their Marina Macaroni Salad is as good as it gets. They sell single NY steaks for about 8.00 a steak, so that's awesome for a quick dinner idea. And do not leave there without a takeout serving of their deli tri tip! A goes there and buys their generic "Super Chill" diet Cola. It's as good as the name brand for half the price. Great place for quality meats and fresh seafood in season. Vegetable section nicely displayed, but the bulk of the items are from foreign shores, so I avoid buying them in support of USA, and North American grown produce. Price of a great deal of items throughout the store often exceed those of other stores in town, but I'm amazed at the number of "Section 8" folks who fill their carts to the brim.
